Summary: Miles is in love with Chloe, but he's afraid to say "I love you" in fear of coming on too strong and pushing her away.

___________

Miles's Point Of View-

Looking at her I knew she was right for me. She was smiling brightly, and all I could do was look at her like she was my whole world. Because she was. When I was around her I had this weird feeling that I couldn't explain...And maybe I couldn't explain it, but I loved it whatever it was. I wanted so badly to tell her how I really feel about her.

I love her.

But for the love of fuck, what if she doesn't love me back? What if I tell her that I love her and she thinks I'm coming on too strong? What if she up and walks out of my life? I need her...Chloe's everything I've ever wanted in my life.

"You seem like you're in a good mood," I said to her.

She nodded.

"Yeah, I am," she stated.

"I'm with you."

Her legs dangled off the side of my pool, her feet in the water. My little brother was filming some YouTube video with his friends and my little sister had volleyball practice, and my mom was off on a business trip. Chloe and I had the whole place to ourselves for the night.

"So do you wanna go for an actual swim?" I asked her.

We'd been sitting on the edge of the pool beside one another for almost an hour now. I was fighting the urge to jump in and take her with me.

She nodded.

Without second thought she jumped into the pool. She resurfaced with wet strands of hair in her face and a smile spread across her angelic features.

"You're gorgeous, ya know that?" I asked her.

She blushed.

"Stop being cheesy and hop on in," she said to me.

Without another word I dove into the icy water. I don't know how she managed to get used to the water's temperature so quickly.

"So," she began as she swam up behind me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

Her chin was resting on my shoulder.

"About prom..." she trailed off.

I smiled at her, looking to the side so we made eye contact.

"Prom...Yeah, I'm planning on asking this really special girl to go with me," I smirked.

She smiled, knowing I was going to ask her.

"Hm, I'll bet she says yes," she told me.

"I hope so...It'd be an honor to go to prom with the prettiest girl at Degrassi High," I stated.

She smiled.

"Well, good luck with your girl," she smiled and hopped off my back.

She pulled herself onto the ledge and out of the pool.

"Hey Chloe," I called.

"Yes Miles?" She asked with an all knowing smirk.

"Will you give me the incredible honor of being my date to prom?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes.

"Of course, Miles."

I pushed myself out of the pool and sat beside of Chloe.

"So, do you want a black or a white limo?" I asked her.

She shook her head.

"I don't want anything fancy Miles...As long as you're the one taking me, we could ride in a school bus for all I care," she told me.

I smiled.

"Well, there are benefits to going out with they rich prick in your school," I said to her.

She shook her head.

"You might be rich, but you're anything but a prick, Miles. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

She rested her head on my shoulder, water from her hair dripped down my bare chest. I couldn't help but to think about how lucky I was to have her in my life.

"Really, I want to make senior prom the best night of your entire life. A night you'll never forget...So I ask once again, black or white limo?"

She shook her head.

"No limo."

And before I had a chance to argue she spun so she was sitting on my lap; straddling me. She pressed her lips to mine in the most passionate kiss I believe we'd ever had. She put a hand on my chest and pushed me back on the lawn chair. As soon as she leaned in again, I flipped her onto her back so that I was on top of her.

"Can I tell you something?" I asked her.

She nodded.

"You can always tell me anything," she replied.

I bit my lip before deciding to tell her.

"I think...I think I'm in love with you," I breathed.

She stared at me for a second. But then a smile spread across her face.

"Fuck, you have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words come out of your mouth," she said as she pulled my lips to hers.

"And just for the record, I'm in love with you too."
