I sat nervously in the back of my Dads black Holden and welcomed the strong breeze that pranced into the car through the opened window, wipping my dark hair around.
It was barely possible to even imagine I was on my way to the most prestigious boarding school on the east cost which meant I was one step closer to my dream of showing professionally!
I leaned into the cars comfy leather seat and told myself for what seemed the hundredth time that I was going to be and do fine and Canterbury academy, I had been the best rider at my old stable, creek side stable, and my grades were good in school. But the thing that worried me was Canterbury academy was bound to be fill of rich girls that had private lessons with private trainers every day before they came. I wasn't even going to get started on grades, I had heard you almost drowned in the amount of homework teachers gave. I was focusing on riding though, Canterbury academy was famous for its intense equastrian programme and I aimed to do well in it.
I soon no longer saw the country side whizzing by but instead Canterbury academy's spacious car park spread out in front of the car. I could see my Dads eyes darting around looking for a park which he soon found for I had come mid term so the car park was deserted.
Dad and I botched hoped out of the parked car, "can you go unload Wings Mades" he said calling me my nickname instead of Maddie. I gave him a swift nod before walking behind the car to the horse trailer attached to it. Once I opened the trailers door I attached a lead line to Wings halter even though he probably didn't need it, I could just lead him by hand though despite that thought I took the lead rope and led him from the trailer.
"This way" called my Dad with my suit case in hand and blue duffel bag slung around his shoulder "we can make a second trip back to the car to get your other stuff" he explained to me as I reached him "yep" I replied to exited to say anything else.
I gasped a little as the beautiful sight of the academy met my eyes, lush green fields stretched as far as the eye could see and towering behind the fields the academy's building stood, tall and big. White paved paths swivelled around the outside of the academy leading to various places, all unknown to Maddie.
"I think we meet... what's his name... Mr sun" "Mr shore" I corrected "yes yes" continued Dad "in the stables" he finished and pointed to what must be the stables. We began the walk towards the large stables (nothing like creek side stables).
Hope you liked this chapter and please critique my writing, I'm looking to make it better just make sure the critique it positive!(:
