"Baby get the phone it's your mom." Stokeley handed me the phone.

"Hello?" I heard her sniffling on the other side.

"Lailani. It's your father." I'm starting to get scared.

"Yes mom, what happened to dad?" She started bursting out crying.

"Mom. Be strong for me and say it."

Don't think about the worst Lailani.

"Your father had died last night. He had got shot by Ashton and then he committed suicide. Jaila was behind everything."

I sat there and looked on my life and all the challenges I went through.

Life was hard, but it just came to the extreme.

"Lailani answer me. Lailani? Lailani darling are you there? Damn it! Lailani talk to me!" I dropped the phone and grabbed the keys to Stokeley's car.

I think I need time to myself.

I got in and as soon as I got out of the neighborhood, I immediately started to push it.

I was doing close to 100 and I don't plan to slow down.

I heard police sirens behind me and I soon pulled over and got out the car.

"Ma'am. Do you know how fast you we're going?" I soon dropped to my knees and started crying.

My life is over.

I have no friends, barely have any family, but I have one thing that I know won't fold on me.

"You know I'm nervous about you right. The shit you just did could have caused you your life." She looked at me and the back at the window.

"Can you at least talk to me? I love you Lailani and I want make sure that you're alright."

"Whatever Stokeley. You just saying that because that what I want to here."

I looked at her and pulled the car over on the side of the road.

"Lailani look at me." She still looking the other way.

"Look at me damn it!" I said finally getting her attention.

"I been through what your going through. I lost the person I love the most in this world. I know it's hard baby and I'm going to help you through it. I promise."

She looked at me and cried, "Stokeley it's so hard! He was my father and I loved him even though he was strict, he love me and wanted the best for me. Stokeley I want him back into my life! Why did he leave me?! Why?!"

"Baby, I was asking the same questions and all I can say that it was his time. God wanted him and we can't do nothing about. Even though your father didn't like me, I still respect him for making you into a beautiful, educated, and great woman you are today."

"Stokeley, please don't ever leave me." She said as she pulled me into a hug.

"Lailani, I won't. You all I got and I'm all you got. I don't want to be away from you. I'm in love you."

"Stokeley do you really mean it?"  She said pulling away.

Yeah, I found love and it was with Lailani.

"Yes, I love you Lailani and I truly do."

"I love too Stokeley."

We went home and just let everything happen.

We can't control life, but life can control us.

We realize that life is short and also a bitch, so we going to live it to the fullest.

Me and Lailani is going to be fine because we're Slump Gods.

We'll see you in two years.
