It was a long time coming. 12 years to be precise. 12 years where they had been through almost everything that life could ever throw in the way of two people. Having seen friendships break, empires crumble, life grow, a fake lawyer, the 'other time' and also a marriage...now it seems... Surreal. Like a dream.
And if it's one, then he never wants to wake up... Ever.
But then she comes walking to him in nothing but his pajamas, two cups of coffee in her hands, and gives him a peck to his lips. And he knows... This is it.
The night flashes before his eyes. The lovemaking even better than the 'other time'.
As he's thinking about it Donna rests her head on his chest, a smile on her face, and he can't help but feel at home for the first time in his condo.
"There's the Spectre smile I have wanted to see." He whispers softly so as not to break the spell.
Donna takes a second to realise what he means and then the smile grows, if possible, even wider. She mumbles then... "I'm Donna..... Spectre and I'm awesome.
Hmmm, I like the sound of that."
And as he smiles down at her, she reaches forward and they share a kiss... then two... And the coffee lays forgotten while they lose themselves into each other all over again.
