In the past, when the land was still new and tender and had only begun to live, there was a petty challenge between Wind and Sun.

For days Sun was annoyed by Wind's constant gloating about how his speed was impeccable compared to the others. Whenever Sun tried to strike a conversation, Wind would always switch the conversation to himself, speaking of his wins and how no one, no single particle on this land, could beat him.

Finally, Sun had enough of Wind's arrogance and challenged him to a race.

"Fine! What is it?" Wind complied, always hungry to win.

"I will declare you fastest in the land if you are able to tag me." Sun replied.

Wind laughed. "It will be easy."

Without waiting another moment, Wind took off and sped across the entire universe in blinding speed for hundreds of years, trying his hardest to touch Sun. With his gusting speed, he caused the trees to sway and the dirt to rise, never once noticing his work. In the end, Wind never could touch Sun, but his hunger for victory keeps him to this day whizzing around the land to tag Sun, which is why the wind blows.
