Without you // Marcus & Martinus

''Martinus I hate you!'' Marcus yells and runs outside. 

''Well I hate you too!'' I yell back. I stay in his room smashing his belongings all over the room. Suddenly I hear a scream from outside and a car brake. 

I start panicking and run outside. I see Marcus lying on the ground, unconscious and bleeding. 

He's been hit by a car and the man driving it starts driving again as he sees me. I shout at mom and dad to come outside. Tears start streaming down my face as I call the emergency number. Feels like forever for the ambulance to come. 

When it finally arrives, some men take Marcus inside it and leaves. Dad goes to the hospital with them, I just stay in the middle of the road just crying. At the moment I wouldn't even care if a car came and hit me. There's a chance that i've just lost my twin brother, my best friend, because I was so stupid. 

Mom tries to comfort me by saying that everything will be okay, but I can hear from her voice that she is hesitating. I get up and go to my room and lock it. I slide down the door to the floor. It's my fault that Marcus may die. If I hadn't yelled at him over some stupid reason this wouldn't have happened. 

I just sit on the floor for like an hour trying to calm down and stop crying but I fail at it. Mom knocks at the door and says that we can go see Marcus. I quickly get up and run to the car. 

When we get to the hospital I run to the lobby asking where Marcus is. I go to his room and sit on a chair by his bed. 

''Marcus I'm so so sorry. I don't hate you, I love you. Please don't leave me.'' I whisper desperately. Marcus' hand moves and my face brightens. Then, everything happens like in a slow motion. The pulse in the heart monitor turns into a one straight line. 

te room fills with nurses and doctors. 

I just stand there confused.

''What's happening?'' I ask one of the nurses. They don't answer me. 

Someone pushes me out of the room. I sit on a chair outside the room. I try to stay calm but I'm panicking on the inside.

After what feels like a forever, a nurse walks out the room.
