Mako and Korra are together again and have been for a little over a year. Mako planned a surprise dinner at the park for the two of them. As they approached the park Korra squeezed Mako's hand oddly tight. He stopped and said, "You alright, Sweetie?" Korra didn't respond to his question. "Korra?" as Mako put his other hand upon her face. She looked at him but almost as if she didn't even know who he was. Her eyes then rolled back in the back of her head. "Korra!" Mako yelled as he grabbed her before falling. He couldn't believe what was happening. "Korra. Sweetie. Please wake up." As Mako looked straight into her closed eyes. A couple random strangers ran up to them. One asked "Is she alright, sir? Do you need help?" "Yes, my girlfriend just went unconscious. I need an ambulance." Another one of the citizens ran over to a pay phone and dialed an ambulance. A few minutes later, they could hear sirens. Korra's hand started to move and Mako said, "Korra? Please, please, wake up." Korra's eyes opened up but only to a squint. Not a moment too soon the ambulance arrived and the crew runs over to Korra. Mako is still holding Korra in his arms. He doesn't want to let her go. "Step away, sir" one of the men say. Mako didn't want to let go of his best friend and lover. A bigger stronger man slowly took Korra away from Mako. Tears were streaming down his face as his girlfriend was being taken by the crew members. They were assessing her and then put Korra on a lift. Mako stood up as she was being strapped in. Korra's head then moved to where Mako was standing. "Mak...o. Ple..as...e don't leave..me." "I would never, Sweetie." As he grabbed her hand and kissed it. Then tiniest smile she had ever smiled grew on her face.
They put Korra into the ambulance as Mako followered her in. He sat on the little tiny bench that was built into the ambulance and never stopped looking at her. He held her hand in both of his hands. When they got there they opened the doors to the ambulance and unloaded Korra. They got into the hospital and admitted her. They put her in a room to be checked as soon as possible. A doctor by the name of Dr. Lee came in. He bombarded Mako with questions. He tested her for many different things from simple sickness to terminal illness. Within an hour Korra was alert. She didn't have much to recall from the incident. A nurse walked in and said, "Hello, I'm Miss. Kai. Well we got a test result back and it's positive." Mako and Korra's faces were pale in fear. Until the nurse said, "Congratulations! You're pregnant." Korra and Mako were in pure and utter shock. "I'm..I'm pregnant! I can't be. I'm only 21." "I'm gonna be a father?" Mako said softly. "Mako?" Korra heard what Mako said and was a little shocked to hear it. "I know it's all so sudden Korra but I do love you and I promise I will love our child. "How far along am I?" Korra asked. "About three months." "Three months!" "This is all so sudden." Korra expressed. "Well, I will leave you two to be for the time being." "I can't believe this." Korra says annoyed. Mako grabs her hand and says, "It's gonna be alright, Korra." "You always know what to say. Don't you, Mako?" "Yes, well..I do mean it Korra. You'll be a great mother" As Mako kisses Korra "..and an amazing wife."
