Tyler Nilsson woke up, his blue hair frizzy from sleep. The maroon night gown he wore was wrinkled and dirty from the night before.
He had a breakdown, as most new Guardians did. He had gotten up in the middle of the night and went to look in the mirror. He couldn't. He tried turning on the lights. He couldn't find them.
He was completely blind.

On the other side of town, a young woman woke up in her light teal hoodie and dark gray sweatpants. Her name was Minty D. Things. She worked as a horror attraction at the local corn maze during fall. But, during the rest of the year, she was a well known art critic.
She got up and her eyes focused immediately. She just thought it was a strange thing. Until suddenly, her average eyesight went on to great. Minty could see EVERYTHING.
This was new.
