Locked Between Souls

Chapter Two

Reed looked at the male soon nodding to what he said, a favor what demon needs a favor from a human. Especially a human who no longer had a soul, Reed shook his head clearing his thoughts as he lead the male out to the living room. The male let out a soft chuckle as he looked around. "I see you haven't given up on drinking Reed...." Reed shrugged with a slight chuckle as the male sat down, Reed soon sitting on the couch looking at him. "What can I say..I'm soulless what's the point of not drinking."  The male nodded a bit before glancing at Reed. "What's this favor?" Reed asked curious as to why the demon needed his help. Reed's mind wandering back to years before when the two sat on the couch.

Reed groaned softly as he laid on the couch trying to fall asleep a beer bottle rolling across the ground from being drop a soft clunk, Reed was soon swallowed but darkness trapped in his dream world. He slept peacefully for a decent amount of time before nightmares danced around his mind, memories flooding over his mind, a pair of grey dead eyes staring at him, loud cries of pain rushing around him. His dream world being teared apart in front of him before he jumped up gasping. The male soon flashed next to Reed holding the chain ready to attack anything close by a dark aura around him and his voice deep and dark. "This mortal is mine." He hissed out looking around the dark and empty room. Reed jumping up as the male flashed next to him a bit surprise. "W...What are you doing?" Reed asked surprise, the male glanced around "Not liking the aura around you, you going to be stuck like this until you die." Reed shook his head frowning as he looked away from the male.  "That aura was called a nightmare because I didn't drink enough." 

Reed let out a soft chuckle at the memory when the two first met. Reed sighed and shook his head as he looked back over to the male and smiled a bit before shaking his head and giving his attention to the male curious as to why he would need his help, the male sighed as he sat down his arms by his side before running one of his hand through his hair. His voice soon perking up a bit, "Heh sorry for coming back after all this time, it's probably weird seeing the male that took your soul...Anyway I have a problem with my home...and the people...and your world." the male spoke Reed nodding his head as he listened.

Reed lugged out of bed groaning in discomfort as he soon sat on his couch yawning, the demon that he summoned soon flashed next to him with a slight chuckle. The demon chuckled as he looked at Reed speaking up "Outside, we have training." Reed soon glanced at the male confused. "Training, no thanks I have to visit my parents soon, if I don't find a good explanation for you then I'm screwed." Reed stated as the male looked at him confused. "Why would you be screwed? Do what you mortals do best, lie." He sated normally before groaning a bit. "I'm bored Mortal." Reed smirked softly as he glanced at the male. "That's nice, Hi Bored Mortal. I'm Reed." Reed joked out as the male looked at him with an unamused face. "Mortal" he groaned out causing Reed to chuckle a bit before leaning back. "And what lie ould I use for you towards my parents?" Reed asked as the male shrugged. best friends, Demon that you Summoned, Protector, Boyfriend if need be." Reed chuckled softly and shook his head. "Demon that I summoned yeah that's gonna be a conversation starter." Reed soon sighed softly before speaking up "You're kinda nagging demon, I don't even know your name." The male smirked as a dark aura filled the room along with the males dark chuckle. "Zeron, The tormenting Demon and The right hand of Lucifer and the brother to Mokilock the Dream demon." 

Reed was snapped back to reality by Zeron snapping his fingers in front of Reed's face making the male jump a bit and look over to Zeron. "You black out for a few minutes...You weren't even listening were you?" Zeron grumbled out as Reed smiled nervously rubbing his neck a bit with a small shrug. Zeron sighed and shook his head as he looked at Reed. "Reed you're just the same...Anyway can you help me, I need a place to stay.." Reed glanced over the male who looked as he did years ago, he slowly nodded and smiled a bit as Zeron let out a soft sigh. He glanced over to Reed and smiled a bit, only for a bit and it was hard to notice but Reed was one to notice quiet quickly. "Reed? You missed me didn't you?" Zeron asked softly with a slight chuckle, Reed just slowly nodded as he looked at the male. "Yeah...Yeah I did, things got quite and boring as you were gone and I was alone again." Zeron smiled and chuckled softly with a shake of his head before wrapping his arms around Reed with a soft happy sigh. "You're just the same, I thought you would have forgotten about me by this time." Reed shook his head as he slowly ran his hands through Zeron's hair slowly playing with the ends of his hair. "Me forget about you, that's not possible. Not with the memories between us..." Reed smiled softly as he leaned back on the couch holding Zeron close to him with his eyes close. Zeron chuckled and shook his head as he glanced up at Reed before nuzzling his head into his chest. 

Reed and Zeron laid together in the same bed at Reed's parents house, Reed groaned as he laid facing away from Zeron upset with the male due to the fact Zeron told his parents that they were dating and that they would stay the night which Reed wasn't a fan of. Zeron was in a human form without fangs, horns and his tail. Of course Reed complained towards Zeron trying to get the male to change his mind about staying the night but Zeron shook his head. "You can kill me if you don't have a good time now come on." The two soon met with Reed's parents before Reed dragged Zeron up to his room so he wouldn't give himself away. Reed groaned as Zeron laid on top of him. "Zeron what the hell are you doing." He groaned out as he sighed finally giving into the warmth. "Mmm but you're at least warm." Zeron groaned as he rolled his eyes. "Make up your mind.." Reed rolled his eyes before slowly closing them and loosely wrapping his arms around the male slowly falling asleep. Zeron glanced down at Reed before he slowly sat up straddling the male a bit as he watched the sleeping Reed, he slowly brushed his thumb over Reed's soft pink lips down to Reed's jaw and slightly rubbing under his chin. Reed groaned softly soon chuckling softly as Zeron titled his head slightly softly rubbing Reed's throat and slowly going back to his cheeks and lips. "Heh what are you doing?" Reed asked as he glanced up to Zeron who suddenly stopped pulling his hand away from Reed. "I thought you were asleep Mortal." Reed nodded as he looked up at Zeron. "I was...What were you doing?" Reed asked softly, Zeron bit his bottom lip and laid his head down on Reed's chest. "Nothing I was just looking." Zeron muttered out. Reed glanced down at Zeron before shaking his head. "It wasn't nothing, tell me. Oh I get it, you were being my boyfriend." Zeron sat up a bit glaring down to Reed. "I did nothing Mortal, I only act like your boyfriend in front of your parents." Reed chuckled as he sat up a bit getting a better look at Zeron as he spoke up. "Then why were you doing this?" Reed asked as he placed his thumb on Zeron's bottom lip. Zeron flinched a bit as he watched Reed before closing his eyes as. "I...I don't know." He muttered out softly against Reed's thumb.  "Were you thinking of kissing me? Was that it?" Reed asked as Zeron stood up quickly off of Reed. "No! Where do you Mortals get ideas like that!" Zeron asked shocked as his tails and horns slowly formed. Reed sat up a bit shrugging as he looked at Reed. "Well you said you didn't know and you have to act like my boyfriend." Reed soon glanced over to Zeron sighing softly as he saw the tails and horns. Zeron, no horns or tails please. You said we're staying the night so we have to play by the rules." Zeron shook his head as he sat down pulling a blanket over him to cover the horns and tail. "I'm trying, I can't control it all the time." Reed sighed as he pulled his hoodie up and threw it over to Zeron so he could cover his horns. 

Reed and Zeron both laid on the couch, Reed rubbing small and soft circles on his back as the two laid together Reed smiling happily at the memories. Reed glanced down at Zeron who laid on top of him sleeping, Zeron let out a soft groan and cuddled farther into Reed's chest. Reed shook his head softly as he closed his eyes leaning back a bit. "I missed you so much..." Reed muttered out softly.
