When I was still "normal", as you guys would most likely like to call it, everybody always told me I looked like my dad.

I really do look like my dad, to be completely honest.

I got most of my face details from my amazing father. I definitely inherited his bold very silver eyes that sparkle in the light and his natural perfectly tanned skin. I also got his black curly hair and small button nose that tends to wrinkle when I get mad, just like his did. I got my perfectly perfect luscious lips from my mom. But I DEFINITELY got my bubble butt and my great shaped C cupped boobs from her too.

Sometimes I miss the way things used to be when I was "normal". I had everything any girl would dream of, nice clothes, popularity, swooning boys, awesome best friend, nice body, grades, cute clothes, loads of money, a big house, a perfect family. It all went downhill from when my father was, unfortunately, murdered on my 16th birthday.

Let's get into the memories of my boring ass life from when I was 15, shall we?

September 12th 2017

I woke up at 6:00 a.m to the sound of my favorite Melanie Martinez song mad hatter, as per usual. I yawned, then got up and stretched like I do every morning when I get out of bed. I got undressed from my pink lace shorts and sports bra. I turned on the shower, let the water heat up, then stepped into the warm water. When I fully got inside of the black rhinestone shower I let the water fall onto my long black curly hair and run down my back. I picked up my coconut shampoo/conditioner and scrubbed my hair with it. As I was waiting for the hair wash to soak in I scrubbed my body from head to toe with my pineapplebody wash on my scrunchy. I rinsed my hair and body off, then got out of the shower. I wrapped my pink towel around my body then walked into my room.

"JANELLE, GET UP" my mom yelled from the kitchen where she was making breakfast like she tended to do every morning before she went to the law firm. "I AM UP MOM" I yelled back while digging through my huge walk in closet to find my favorite floral blazer and black string tank top. "OH, SORRY HONEY" she replied. "IT'S FINE, MOM" I said back while slipping into my black high waisted jeans, then into my black fashionista heels."I'M COMING DOWN NOW MOM" I said while walking through the door putting my black hipster glasses on my face.

As I creep down the stairs I peek and see that my dad is drinking coffee at the table, and mom is cooking something that smells delicious. I notice my mother is wearing her gold one sleeved dress with her black and gold heels on. My father was wearing a black sweater thingy with a black shirt underneath, black jeans and black sneakers.

My father saw me coming down the stairs, he stood up and waited with his arms held out ready to hug me. I ran down the stairs as quick as I could without breaking a heel or falling. I jumped into my father's arms. "Hey, sweetie pie" he said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "Hi dad" I replied still holding onto him.

I looked over my father's shoulder to see my mother looking at us with a big smile on her face. She saw me and said "What about me, am I chopped liver now?"

I let go of my father and rolled my eyes "as if" I said.

Mom chuckled at my annoyed reply to her question.

"I love you too baby" mom said with the hand she has the utensil she was using to cook with on her hip.

I sat down and a few minutes after, she was done cooking breakfast. My mom walked over to the table and put mine and my dads plate in front of us. She made banana pancakes with whipped cream on top and chocolate chips melted inside of the pancake. I miss my mom's cooking so fucking much.

I looked up at my mom as she placed my plate on the table and said "thank you mom, I appreciate you putting food on the table for us every night and every morning, even when your exhausted." When I told her that it absolutely made her day, she started crying tears of joy. I honestly meant every single word I said to her in that sentence that morning.

Me and my dad were eating our pancakes and mom was sipping her coffee when I looked at the time and realized it was almost 7:00 (The time I leave for school, cause the early bird gets the worm, lol.)

"It's almost 7:00." I said, starring down at my phone.

"What does that mean?" dad said sarcastically.

"You know what that means dad, now stop being like that." I said starring at him with a serious death glare and my arms crossed.

Him and mom laughed at me and I rolled my eyes at them.

"So, how am I getting to school today?" I asked.

"Well, you can walk, your can ride your bike, you can jog, you can roller ska-"

"Stop, doing that mom." I said seriously.

My mom and dad started to laugh so hard.

"Seriously though guys, how am I getting to school today?" I asked.

Dad gave me the options: "I could take you, mom could take you on her way to the law firm, or the chauffeur can take you."

"Can you take me to school dad?" I asked my father with a cute innocent smile on my face.

"Sure sweetie." he smiled back.

Soon enough, mom had to leave to go to work. She walked over to the table from the counter and kissed my father and told him she loved him, he said it back. Then my mother walked over to me, kissed me on the forehead said "I love you, baby" I said "I love you too mom" then she walked away into the living room, to the door, then, she left.

"Let's tell Jack he has the morning off" I said quickly.

"Okay." Dad said, pulling his black iphone 6s out of pocket.

"Come on, let's go now dad." I said while getting out of the chair I was sitting in.

"Okay." Dad grunted getting out of the chair he was sitting in.

"Jeez your getting old dad." I said while walking out the door.

"No I'm not." Dad said while holding the door open for me.

"Right." I chuckled under my breath.

We got to the garage where there was many different cars of many different colors parked.

"Which car today, pumpkin?" Dad asked, with his hand on the garage door looking at the cars.

"The black corvet." I said as I pointed to it.

"The balck corvet it is." He sweetly said.

We got into the car and I watched him put the key in ignition and turn it three times. I watched as he put the geer stick in position. He leaned back into the seat and relaxed, he put his foot on the petal and hand on the steering wheel, then took off.

The whole was there was quiet, besides the pop songs playing from the radio of the car. It wasn't an awkward silent drive, we were enjoying the view from our windows as we passed the other amazing homes of people we've known for a while and the beautiful ocean waves.

When we pulled up to the front of my high school, he kissed me on my forehead. He said "I love you, pumpkin, have a good day." I replied with "I love you too, daddy. Please be safe today." "I'll try." He answered. Then I stepped out of the car ontothe sidewalk.
