Severus emotionally abused his students because he was upset that the woman he "loved" (more like obsessed over) died. He took his anger out on children of different houses (making him prejudiced against anyone but a Slytherin). He was unfair towards every single student but the Slytherin students. He was a coward who called Lily Evans a mudblood and when she cut off ties with him, he joined a radical terrorist group to help him cope. He joined the group that sought out to kill the muggle borns like Lily Evans. There's a reason his patronus was a doe, the same as Lily's whereas James's was a stag. There's a difference between obsession and love. James loved Lily and his patronus was a stag, the perfect counterpart to Lily's doe. Severus never apologized for what he did to those children while he was teaching. He was so horrible that Neville Longbottom's boggart was Snape. That's not okay. And then with Albus, he left Harry in an abusive household. Minerva McGonagall told him that he shouldn't leave Harry at the Dursleys and that she's been watching them all day and they're horrible people. Albus also never explained anything to Harry straight out. He had Harry spend a long time doing his work in order to get a memory from Slughorn that only told them what a Horcrux was. Dumbledore could've told Harry that himself, or could've written Harry a pass to the Restricted Section of the library where he could find the information he needed. And then last but not least, Dumbledore kept the secret of Voldemort's Horcuxes a secret from everyone but three TEENAGERS. He didn't bother to tell Kingsley Shacklebolt or Remus Lupin or Mad Eye Moody. No. He left the work he didn't finish in the hands of three teenagers who hadn't even had any proper Defense Against The Dark Arts training, as all their teachers weren't the best (except for Lupin and Mad Eye but Mad Eye wasn't Mad Eye he was Barty Crouch jr). Dumbledore sent three teenagers on a dangerous mission to find and destroy the remainders of Voldemort's soul, even after he saw what the Gaunt ring had done to his hand once he put it on.
