"Hi. I'm Liza"
"David"
We shake hands and I feel a jolt of electricity throughout my body
"Alex, shut the fuck up! You know that's not true! Stop pretending like you ha-" We hear Gabbie yell
"Okay Gabs" I say and gently pull her away
"This is David" I introduce her to him
"Hi, I'm Gabbie" she smiles
"David" he says and puts his hands in his pockets
"Would you like to come meet our friends?" Gabbie asks
I will never be able to understand how she has the courage to do so much
"Yeah, sure" David shrugs and follows us over to our friend group
"David, this is Kristen, Carly, and Erin. Kristen, Carly, and Erin, this is David" Gabbie introduces them
They all say their basic greetings, which leads to awkward silence
Soon enough the bell rings and we all look at our schedules
"I have math first" I announce
"Me too" Kristen says
"I have English" Gabbie sighs
"I have science" Carly says
"Science" Erin says
"I have history" David says
We all say goodbye to each other and walk out separate ways
Here's to the first day of hell
