Be Ready Guys And Gals
There's only a couple chapters left.
I have decided that we need a date night. A romantic rendezvous with just us two. I mean, we haven't done anything special lately. So, I want to make a meal and surprise him when he gets home.
I thought of cooking something while watching one of those dinner in under ten pounds shows but they are defiantly not under ten pounds unless your like buying that meat at a gas station.
The food is almost ready. I stir the green beans and scan over the pork chops as well to make sure they look nice and presentable. I just want everything perfect and special, you know?
I hear the front door open, the jiggling of keys, and then shut again. Liam's home. I'm both nervous and excited.
"I'm home. Mmmhhh what's that..." He is stopped in his tracks in the doorway, his eyes shocked at the large buffet of dishes set out. "Did you do this all for me?" He questions , pointing with his finger to his chest like a little boy in front of a new red bike.
I nod happily as he runs towards me, slamming me up against counter in a loving kiss. I could get used to this. Really used to it.
When he sits down, he shovels the food down as if he was just released from prison.
"Dude, it's not going anywhere. Slow down and enjoy it babe."
"Oh trust me, I'm enjoying it." He sassily remarks back.
After we finish eating I lead him blindfolded into the living room. I unknot the cloth for him to see an array of pillows on the couch and floor and a big white screen over the TV to watch an old black an white monster movie like it should be watched.
I got Liam into watching these older movies after he told me he hadn't seen the original Dracula, which is one of my favorites, or any other original monster films and naturally I was appalled. So I made him sit with me and watch it. Luckily, he ended up enjoying it. I think of it as our special thing to do, together.
The movie was at the 'Oh so original' part where the once happy couple hide from the monster. This particular film they hide in an old meat packing factory (Because that's where you want to hide from your inescapable death right?). "I want you to know, whatever happens I'll always love you." the man, Chris, says to the woman, Brittany. "Always together" she dramatically responds. Next, the two have a passionate make-out scene. Where the man dips the woman with wind blowing through through their hair. The moment frozen in time to be remembered forever as the highlight of the film.
Sometimes, like this time, the scene gets to me. Something in the movie just tells you 'their meant to be together'. That feeling that you always want, but know you'll never have. But really, truthfully, I believe I do have it.
All of a sudden I find myself in the same position as Brittany on the screen. Except, I'm not being dipped my back is flat against the couch cushions and Liam's sculpted chest is flat on top of me.
Next I feel a pair of hands run up my shirt and around to my back where his giant hands wrap around first my shoulders an then my lower back and eventually to my jean pockets.
Then without warning I am lifted. Legs in the air and then the bottoms of my bare feet against the carpet. Each of our arms lovingly wrapping around each others neck. Liam pulls away to say,
"Always together"
Lastly, his face lunges to mine as we laugh, falling down back on the cushions of the couch.
