Why? Chapter One

Why? Why did everything go to shit? Our life has been nothing but awful turns that changed our lives tremendously. We were a somewhat wealthy family. We had a very nice home, it was home for us since we were born. I remember more than Abby. Our parents died, we were hosting a street fair. The streets were blocked off but a young woman, believed to be on drugs ran through. Through it all. Our parents jumped in front of us, in attempt to save us, we survived yet they did not.
I was only 9 Abby was only 5, it was tragic.
We were soon sent off to the nearest orphanage, where our life would turn even worse. As we walked in, we saw the woman who worked there. They scared Abby, I told her not to react, or else they wouldn't treat us well. I was a clever little girl, I still am, we no longer attend school as we do not have enough money for an education, or they would know we have no parents. And send us right back to the adoption center.
