Alexander Henson has always been exceptionally ordinary. To this day, he never did something that could be count as "unordinary". He was quite young, only thirteen. At the age of thirteen, Alex had to met the cruel side of the world. Cancer entered his and his widow mothers' life. As every normal boy does, Alexander loved his mother with all of his heart. There wasn't a single moment where he felt hatred or any negative emotions towards his mom at all. In every two months she would go to hospital and Alexander would take care of the house for a day or two. However, months past but Alexander's mother never seemed to recover. Her pitch black hair went dull and soon she lost all her hair. Her red lips turned white and she seemed like a ghost. She got weaker and weaker and Alexander had to take care of the house for longer then one or two days. Even then, Alexander felt nothing but love towards her. One day, he realized that his mother was dying. He refused to see the truth for so long and now he had no choice but to accept it. A few more days passed and the burden Alexander carried got harder and harder. One day, weakened by the heavy burden he carried he feel asleep. He was on thick ice and all alone. He heard a scream which belonged to his mother. He looked down and saw his mom under the thick ice. His mother was screaming and begging for help. Alexander got all teared up in only a few seconds. He screamed at the top of his longs "SOMEBODY HELP!". Then , Alexander kneeled down and looked at his mothers eyes. "HOLD ON MOM PLEASE DO NOT LET ME GO!". He screamed and screamed and screamed. "I AM NOT READY TO LET YOU GO". But it was too late. Her mother started to sink. She was dead. Then , Alexander woke up with shivers down his spine. He couldn't even properly breathe . When he woke up he was relived and he knew exactly what to do. Next morning he went to the hospital to see his mom. This time he wasn't the thirteen year old boy who came a week ago. Today he was soldier, a survivor, a boy with thoughts and feelings. He knew where his mother was. He went up to his mothers' room. Alexander saw his weakened mother once again. Firmly, he held her hand. "I love you mommy" he could say only before he started to cry. "But I want this to be over." His mother looked relaxed. He wished that his mother die sooner. Even though Alexander loved his mother dearly he was tired of waiting for his mothers' death. Alexander was indeed not ready to let his mother go but he knew he had to. He wanted it to bee soon. Everyday she lived, his burden got heavier to the point it would break his bones. This was indeed the only unordinary thing he ever did. Or at least he thought. It was completely normal. That day, his mother died in his small arms. With the death of his mother he realized good people and bad people don't exist and most people are in between. He realized that what may seem abnormal can be perfectly normal and a boy with good intentions can hope for the worst.
