Drarry.

The fog seemed to roll in that day, the rain just kept on pouring down. The world seemed to want to give them privacy. Maybe if people were there Harry would have been able to control his anger, maybe Draco would have actually listened with him. Either way both of them messed up that day. Draco turned around without a second glance, magicked all his belongings to his shared flat with his friend Blaise and his boyfriend Neville.

Harry always wanted to kiss someone in the rain, something like out of a Hollywood film or bestselling novel. Something romantic. Draco was a very romantic person, Harry thought to himself, surprise date nights, casual gestures, secret notes hidden in his suit, back rubs. Merlin he was going to miss the back rubs, Draco always got the right spot, and after a stressful day at work sometimes a back rub and a strong tea was all he wanted. Draco always knew the days when he wanted just that and the days he wanted... more. Instead of kissing in the rain Harry just got a break up, and a painful one at that. One he didn't think he deserved.

Weeks later and Harry still hadn't fully adjusted, at night he would come home expecting the TV to be on and Draco trying to hide the fact he was watching muggle shows. He forgot to buy tea, a catastrophe for any self respecting British wizard. His suits went un-ironed and without a little love note. His back ached from all the days he spent stooped over his newspaper reading all the articles that mentioned the word Draco Malfoy. Hercules his owl ,a present from Draco, always came back with the letter to him still tied on to his leg. Harry would cry himself to sleep every night and every morning, looking at pictures of Draco, casually asking Neville how he was everyday.

"Mate you need to move on, I heard Draco's had a few dates and your just holed up at home" his best friend Ron said one day, after catching him crying once he heard Draco was doing good, "go and get a life other than work" Hermione not so tactfully put it.

It was hard but eventually Harry started to buy tea, he booked himself in for a massage, yes he broke down in the middle of it but the next one went great. He started ironing his suits and wrote himself little love notes. He even went on a date, a cute little red head named Ginny, she got back with her ex though Harry's old quiditch captain Oliver Wood. Over time he stopped scouring the newspapers for a mention of Draco's name. He stopped sending Hercules out for letters to Draco. Neville stopped receiving questions on how Draco was less day by day. Harry stopped crying himself to sleep, listening to the violin really helped he found.

He was treating himself to a tea with sugar in when he heard it. The same tentative knock Dacorum had gave when he came to his house the first time. Harry opened the door as one would open the door to a stranger.

It was raining. Draco was crying. Harry's heart nearly melted but he steeled his softening and instead looked him in the eye.

"Draco, what's wrong?"

"You Haz, I just- fuc- I MISS YOU. I'm so sor-"

"Draco"

"Harry?"

"It was nice seeing you." Harry shut the door and stepped back. That was it. No kissing in the rain, no epic fight to biblical proportions. Just one sad man and a slightly sadder man outside. In the rain.

Author Note

This was made for an instagram contest, I just really wanted to continue the book on. I am currently writing another book so my priority is that but it's summer so I should have a lot of time. Thanks, leave any ideas below.
