Soooooo
Ya'll want some more realistic shiz?
Have a leopard done in Prismas again and referenced from some national geographic book I had laying around.
I'm starting to get used to blending and shading with Prismas. The amount of layering in some drawings is kind of insane, but it gives it a richer colour so I guess that good??
(lowkey in love with leopards right now so expect lotsa spotty cats in ye near future)
And and and and
a horse practice sketch!
hORSE
I cannot remember for the life of me what breed I was looking at to reference this, but I think it was close to a Thoroughbred or Standardbred – something in the hot-blooded category.
but holy crap I forgot how difficult horse legs are to draw, there's so many BUMPS
AND TENDONS
AND STUFF
And
One more thing.
I was trying to do proper anatomy with wolves without referencing anything because I have this horrible habit of just yoloing something and winging the shit out of the anatomy and poses
sO
I found a cool way to do it on Pinterest and I think I'll be trying it from now on
So first you do the circle things but it's different and stuff?? idk, rough sketches always look like hell, but I find this helps for knowing where to put the muscles
And then it's just connecting stuff and going over the outline darker and adding fur detail
And then it's just fur details and shading
tADAAAAAAA
also, to the brave ones who have read this far, should I do another Q and A? I haven't done one in ages but idk??
