ONE | TOUCH
"Chance, are you fucking kidding me, man?" Sarah Rotte yelled at her younger cousin as he spilled red wine on her brand new carpet.
"Shit. I'm sorry, Sare." Chance apologized, picking up a paper towel and bending down to wipe it up.
"Boy, don't you even dare wipe it up. You're going to make it even--Chance Perez, fucking listen. Oh my God. I'm going to commit. I swear to God." Sarah whined as she tried to fight Chance. He was making her carpet even worse.
Of all the people Sarah had to be related to, she was cursed with the company of Chance Perez.
Chance and his daughter were now living with Sarah. Sarah had no problems with Brooklyn. She was cutest baby in the world.
It was utterly depressing how the father was the one that made all the messes, but Sarah was happy when she persuaded Brooklyn to tell off Chance. It was the cutest thing ever.
"Quit it. Let's go. You made the mess and you're buying the fucking cleaner." Sarah said, dragging Chance's ass up off the floor. She didn't know what she was going to do with this mess of a man.

As Sarah and Chance both made their way to the store, a dog ran up to them. He was shaggy and dirty, but very pretty. Sarah loved dogs. As she bent down to check his tag for an owner a man ran up to her breathless.
The man looked to be young. Probably around Sarah and Chance's age, maybe a bit older. He had short curly and almond eyes. Tattoos littered his body and he was quite tall. His curls were sheltered by a star spangled bandana. His shirt barely hid the fit body underneath it. The sleeves hug his muscles and the lavender shirt made his abs protrude.
"Sarah? He's talking to you." Chance shook Sarah's shoulder, trying to bring her back to reality. She had looked at this God of a man for far too long.
"Oh, right. Sorry. Can I help you?" Sarah said looking into the pretty pools of brown in front of her. His eyes were the most mesmerizing part.
"My dog. Well, my friend's dog, but can I have Alex back?" the man asked, referring to the animal that lay next to Sarah's feet. She had nearly forgotten about him.
"Khloe! I found Alex!" the man yelled at another woman further away from them. From what Sarah could tell, she was perfect. Bouncy black hair with bangs that whipped around her face and quite skinny with a large ass. She was quite tan and looked to be hispanic. She was very pretty and Sarah kind of felt drab compared to the woman coming in her direction.
"Thank you so much for finding Alex. I can't thank you enough." the woman smiled, giving Sarah a hug. She was quite nice, this woman.
"No problem, ma'am." Sarah said, smiling a bit.
"Please, just call me Khloe and this is my best friend, Miles." Khloe introduced herself and the man Sarah had been admiring.
"Right, I'm Sarah and this is my cousin, Chance." Sarah returned the introductions.
"It was nice meeting you, Sarah and Chance. We have to get going." Sarah waved goodbye as Khloe grabbed Alex's leash and Miles walked away with her without so much as a peep.
God, he's cute, Sarah thought.
"Sare, don't even start crushing. You have Adalyn." Chance warned his older cousin.
Sarah was a homosexual. Everyone was. Anyone that was straight was ostrasized. Chance got so much shit when he began dating Emma. Even more when he got her pregnant.
To be straight was a sin and unfortunately for them, Chance and Sarah were straighter than a pole. Unlike Chance, Sarah tried to keep her real sexuality under wraps.
Sarah was scared that her moms would disown her if she came out as straight. Sarah instead chose to be in denial. To hide her real self from the world. She had a girlfriend for God's sake. Adalyn was a great girl and Sarah did love her. Just not the way that Adalyn loved her.
"I'm not. I'm gay, Chance." Sarah denied.
"Sure, Jan." Chance scoffed, rolling his eyes as they wandered their way in the grocery store to finally get that stain remover.

Sarah and Chance finally made it back to the house in one piece within the hour.
Sarah smiled, watching her girlfriend, Adalyn, playing with Brooklyn. Apparently Emma had dropped Brooklyn back at the house and Adalyn just so happened to come back at the perfect time.
"Who loves their Aunt Addie? Brooklyn!" Adalyn used her baby voice, playing pattycake with a bubbly two year old.
Sarah did love Adalyn. They had been a couple since they were in high school and they'd been friends even longer. Their parents thought that the girls were in it for the long haul. Everyone was waiting for Sarah to propose. Adalyn had been hinting at marriage for a couple months now and Sarah wanted to marry Adalyn, but at the same time, she didn't.
Sarah felt as if she was leading on Adalyn. Sarah was very obviously in denial about her preference for men. Adalyn was very much in love with Sarah and only Sarah. Adalyn was a great girl. She treated Sarah right and she was beautiful and sweet. She was everything that any woman wanted in a future wife, but Sarah was holding herself back.
If Sarah married Adalyn, she'd have to stay married. She'd have to have one hundred percent faith in Adalyn and she couldn't hurt her. She'd be held down in a relationship with a woman. She'd have to stop doubting her sexuality and start a family with Adalyn, but Sarah wasn't ready for that. She wasn't ready for any of this, but Adalyn was.
"Hey baby. Where were you guys?" Adalyn asked as Chance took Brooklyn from her.
Sarah snapped out of her thoughts, saying, "Just went to the store."
Sarah pecked Adalyn's lips and went to the kitchen and began putting the groceries away and handing Chance the stain remover. There was no way that wine was staying on her carpet.
Sarah thought she'd be able to move on from that man in front of the store, but little did the supposed lesbian know that Miles would be become a major part of her life.
