When Eguestria was young it was rule by a race of natural alicorns. Two alicorns named Astro and Galactia controlled the sky. Galactia controlled the sun and the clouds and Astro controlled the moon and the stars. They soon had a child Celestia She had a snow wite body and light pink mane. She was named after the stars. A few years later They had another daughter. She was the all the colors of the night sky with a lighter mane. They named her Luna, after the moon. They taught them every thing they needed to know. But their happiness soon ended when the Chaos Bringers waged war against the alicorns. Celestia and Luna stayed alone in the castle. Every now and then they would hear cracking of the castle. Weeks past and their parents didn't return. Finally they went out in search for them not knowing they were dead. On the way they befriended a creature by the name Discord. He called himself a Draconaci. He was on the search for his parents to. They came upon a group of unicorns trying desperatly to raise the sun. After a minute few collapsed. Doing the work of an alicorn was so exhausting. Celestia quickly ran over to them and raised the sun. They were all amazed. A mere filly could do what they've been trying to do for days. When she was done her cutie mark appeared. A golden sun, the mark of destiny. They spotted tiny wings on her back. They realized that she and Luna were the daughters of two great alicorns. Soon they were taken to the unicorns' castle. They learning how to become princesses and still played with Discord. He stayed off in the shadows because he didn't want the ponies to know his parents were apart of the war.
