Epilogue: Navy Pirates

Natalia's POV

James had given me my mission briefing this morning and I feel so ordered to be given such an important task. I had mine and the crews outfits ready on my new ship 'The Insanity'. It wasn't as impressive as 'The Interceptor', but I still love it. I'm just happy to be a captain of my own ship and not have to follow orders on it. I am going to be the highest ranking officer on the ship.

I am dressed in my outfit in my cabin on my ship when the Lieutenant knocked on the door. "They are ready for you Captain Swann" he states. We are already out at sea and I am about to address the crew of our mission.

"Thank you, Lieutenant" I tell him and open the door. He looks a little surprised at my outfit, but says nothing. He was told of our mission. We walked to the helm and everyone was standing to attention on the deck.

"Captain on the deck" Lieutenant Washington states.

"At ease gentlemen" I tell them and they relax. "Now you are probably wondering what our mission is? And why I'm dressed this way" I state gesturing to my outfit. "You are all new to the navy and have never encountered a pirate before. But you are also the best of your classes, which is why you were chosen for this mission" I explain.

"We have been given a very important mission" I tell them. "We are to become a fake pirate crew and infiltrate their community. So I am the captain and Lieutenant Washington is my first mate while Lieutenant Parker is the Quartermaster. For the first two months I will train you on how to be a proper pirate crew. I spent time on the Black Pearl as a captive and know their ways. I even know most of their laws, which is why I chosen to lead this mission. Also because they don't expect a woman to be in the navy, much less a captain" I explain. "First mate" I say and Washington steps forward.

"Alright you scabbers dogs, you're new uniforms have been placed in your quarters. Once you have changed report back and remember you are pirates. They don't say yes sir or yes ma'am, they 'aye captain'" he tells them. "The ship still runs pretty much the same way, but we go by different ranks. Captain Swann is now Captain Fox of the Ghost Rider" he states.

"That is mine and the ships pirate names. Remember don't call each other by rank but by your first or last names only. I have also given you a copy of the pirate code that I know of. We will practice your sword fighting and remember pirates don't fight fair in battle. If you mess up you will be punished the pirate way. We don't just pretend to be pirates, you have to believe you are pirates. Is that understood?" I ask them.

"Aye captain!" they all say together and I smile.

"Then go change and get back to work you lazy bulge rats" I tell them. "Parker set sail for Tortuga" I tell him. "But there is no rush, we have enough food for two weeks. So feel free to take your time" I state.

"Aye Captain" he says with a smile and takes the wheel. I tell Washington he is in charge and that I'll be in my cabin if needed. Once there I look over the map and smile. I can't believe that I'm a captain of a navy ship and now I'm one of a fake pirate ship. Could things get any better?

Of course it'll be a lot of work to get the men into character. But it'll be worth it. I promised James if I saw or heard word of Jack I'd let him know. But I need to be back in time for Elizabeth and Will's future wedding. Though he hasn't proposed yet, so there is still time. Right now my main focus is the crew and getting them to act as real pirates before we reach Tortuga.
