Chapter Two

             When I walked inside my house, I walked around humming the song I heard in Luke's car. I stopped after a while and decided to go upstairs and listen to it. I waked upstairs and past my brother, Calum's room. I heard him playing his guitar, so I slowly pushed the door open and stood in the doorway listening and watching him play. He stopped and looked over at me. "Why you home so late Brinn?" A smile crept up on my face as I looked down at my feet, "Oh um I um got caught up at the bookstore and um, yeah." I said as I ran my hand through my hair. Calum put his guitar on the floor and patted the empty space next to him, "You're lying. Now come take a seat and tell me what really happened." I walked over to the bed and sat next to him, "Well I met a guy, he's tall and blonde. Oh and he has the most beautiful blue eyes," I started smiling bigger. "His names-" Calum spoke softly, "Luke, right?" I nodded, frowning slightly in confusion, "How'd you know?" He shook his head and looked at me, his face suddenly serious. "Try not to fall for him. You can see him but please don't get to wrapped up." I sighed and nodded, "I'll try." Calum smiled and patted my knee, "Good, now go to bed, your classes start early tomorrow." I got up without responding and walked to my room. I changed into some pajamas and got into bed, my mind racing. I was trying my best not to think about Luke, but right before I fell asleep, my thoughts settled on him.

         I pulled up to my driveway, all my thoughts on Brinn. I walked into the house to see nobody is home. "I guess its just me." I said to myself. I throw myself on to my bed once I'm in my room. I close my eyes as a smile crawls onto my face. Just the pure thought of knowing I would get to see her again, made me happy. The only problem was that I that I didn't know where I would take her tomorrow. My thoughts were interrupted when my phone started ringing. I look to see its my friend from school, Calum. "Hey Calum, what's up?" I asked. "Um how do I say this?" He says asking himself more than to me. "Just say it man." "Keep your distance from my sister. I don't want to be that brother that keeps his sister and boyfriend away from each other, but I want to protect her." His sister? I had no idea what he was talking about. "Mate, I have absolute no idea what you're talking about." "Brinn! My sister Brinn! Stay away from her Luke." With that he hung up. Brinn is Calum's sister. He said to stay away from her but I cant do that, I just cant. I need help, I picked up my phone and pressed a number. " Hey Ashton I need your help."
