sorry it's so short:(
I glance over worriedly at Liam, whose long legs dangle off the cool leather of my couch. Sammy sat curled amongst the mass blankets draped over the sweaty man. A shaky sigh left my chapped lips. I stumbled around the cold kitchen trying to force something down, but not even a small cracker slipped down without the feeling of it knotting in my throat. Finally, I flick the kettle on and snag a small rose tea bag from it's pink box, tossing the package into my chipped blue mug. I shift my watery eyes and tear soaked cheeks towards the clock. The numbers seem to swirl together into one big black and white mess, making it hard to make out the time. Still, my brain manages to register it was almost five meaning I'd missed the rest of my classes. I should have contacted my professors informing that I wouldn't be attending hours before my next class but I couldn't; After laying the bloody Liam on the couch I merely sat and watched him, numb and lost by what had happened.
"Luna," The strained yet deep voice made me bolt towards him.
Liam sits up and yawns, wincing at the pain that suddenly returns with his conciousness. His brown eyes turn to me and take the sight of me in. Something appears on his face for a quick second before he looks away and down at the one-eyed cat shoving his orange furry head into his tan hands.
"Liam, please don't do this," I plead, wrapping a couple fingers around his bicep. He merely maintains the stone hard look on his face and ignored me. The tea kettle beeped the same moment I felt the salty drops of water threaten to flow again. "At least let me take care of your wounds."
I stand hastily, making a beeline for the cabinet where I kept my medical supplies. He complied, still saying nothing as he moved closer towards me. I grabbed the smalll wooden step stool and perch on the cool wood. Liam turns towards me. He looked betrayed like he'd been stabbed in the heart. Now it was my turn to ignore, as I slowly began wiping away the blood with a wet washcloth. The air was thick with the tension between us, Sammy's purrs and the rain white noise to screaming silence.
"Do you remember our childhood?" The words hung in the air with no response. My fingers, suddenly unsteady, moved to wipe a cut on his neck. "I remember how you took Sophia to prom and it was a disaster, or how you hit a metal basketball thinking it was real so you ended up breaking three of your toes, or how you crawled in my window every night to comfort me through my nightmares about the fire, and how every year no matter it was always you who stood next to me at the graveyard." I rambling, but I couldn't help myself.
I wait for him to speak but he merely intertwines our fingers in my bloody towel-free hand. "Luna, those are the greatest days of my life," He pulls me against him, bare skin against the thin material of the faded tank top I'd changed into. I immeditaly nestle in closer to him on instinct. It was a habit from years of late nights and hang outs and lounging around nursing hangovers. "Do you remember when I kissed you in seventh grade and you flipped out?" His bare skin vibrates against my cheek. I laughed with him quietly, lifitng a set of thin fingers to wipe the wetness away from my cheeks. I felt his biceps flex against my back.
"I thought you wanted to go out with me, it was awful," I mumbled, closing my eyes. "I calmed down though when I realized you were drunk."
His long digits tangle in my hair, pulling his face closer to mine. "What about now?" I froze. The area where Zayn's mark begins to slightly sting. "Could I try kissing you now, since I'm sober. I sucked in a burst of the cool air, the room suddenly warmer than I'm used to. I bit my top lip.
In the last year, our realtionship had gone from friendly to almost being friends with benefits. Miracously, our realtionship moved in the middle of the two. Liam reconigzes the hesitation in my eyes as began to pull away, but I gripped onto his arms and pulled on top of me, kissing him heatedly.
A small feeling of regret flooded my senses, but I ignored them as I felt Liam's hands, which remind of a lumberjack's, grip my hips as he pressed himself closer to me. I sighed contently as he leaned down to brush his lips over my hipbone. He was quick to kiss me agian, making me whimper as I felt his fingers hook onto the waistband of my leggings. A noise rumbled in his throat as my fingers crawled up and down repeatedly over his chest and stomach. My closed as he brought me closer than humanly possible. We didn't fit the way Zayn does, limbs not fitting together.
There he is.
Zayn
I breathe a shaky breath. I can't tell if it's from the pain searing in my neck, the heat rushing through my body with Liam's lips kissing my sensitive points, or the baby guilt that fashioning into my brain. Liam lips certainly were skilled, but a small part of me wishes they were Zayn's.
There he is, again.
I attempt to push to the back of mind, again and I run my thing fingers down Liam's chest and stomach. A smirk playfully coats my lips as he kisses me again. But, to both of our dismays, a loud knock vibrates through the house. Both Liam and whoever is at the door were impaitent; Liam because when I first pull away to get up to answer, he draws me back down to him, pressing sloppy kisses to my neck. I giggle and reluctantly climb off him. The old door opens with a loud groan, tired from the many times I slammed it closed. There, looking up at me stands Lovette, skin of her cheeks aglow despite then cloudy sky and the slight drizzle that tapped against the glass window. Her hazel eyes transition from me to Liam, then back to me. She sighs, hooking a slender arm through mine tugging me gently outside.
Her pale lips part as she says "Whatever the hell your doing please stop now before I'm forced to kill you or something like that" The firm tone in her voice shocked me for a second, but I knew she was talking as Lovette the Beta, not Lovette the Sweetheart. "I need you come with me, I'll explain in the car,"
I want to ask why, but we both know the answer-
Zayn.
