I woke up to the sound of thunder disturbing my dreams. Thunder has always been a fear of mine since I was born, whenever there was thunder I ran into mum and dads room where a knew I was safe, but who could I run to now? Sebastian? He'd just ridicule me. I had to face it like a man.
BANG
'Aaahhh!' I screamed but quickly covered my mouth. I hope no one heard me.
'Young master are you okay?!' Finny heard me.
'Finny come in'.
He opened the door and I saw his innocent face with a look of concern.
'What is the matter master? Are you hurt?'
'No no I'm just...it's nothing'
Awkward silence, I should of said something else.
'Shall I get sebas-'
'No!' I shouted, oh shit I didn't mean to shout
'no' I repeated more quietly
Finny always had a warmness about him, like someone you could just go to and feel fine afterwards, but I never did go up to him as I wanted to maintain a reputation but, I did need him.
'Finny...'
'Yes sir?' He said quickly but calmly
'Ca...can you stay with me?'
I saw a look of confusion but also understanding on his face.
'Okay sir, of course'
He came over sheepishly and sat on the side of my bed. BANG another crash of lightning. I jumped and gasped. Finny looked down at me with full sympathy.
'Is it the thunder storm?'
I looked the other way in shame, not wanting to confirm but he knew that was the reason.
'When I was in the facility sir, there was thunderstorms, worse than this. But they never hurt me, Infact I liked them, they fascinated me, it was something to distract me from everything around me. They don't hurt on purpose and they don't want to scare you but they have no choice.'
Finny was trying to help, I found that really sweet.
'Your safe in the mansion with m- with us, we won't let you get hurt'
'Quiet
Finny!' I was tired and he was going on a bit but his story calmed me down and made me almost unafraid.
I saw his hand close to me, I moved my hand over and gently held it.
'Thank you' I said closing my eyes, the warmth of his had comforting me.
'No problem, young master'
