A normal day

Ava's p.o.v

"Have a good day, love" my mother calls out from the living room as I exited my house

I watch my feet, careful to not trip. I look up and smile as I hear my dog barking at something on the tv.

 I was walking to the bus stop. Changing a song on my phone when my eyes are sudenly drawn to the time; 7:54. Shit, Im late. Just as i think this I get a text. Noticing who it was from I immediately unlock my phone to reply:

Mia: are you coming to hell today 😒

Me: unfortunately 😣

Mia: well hurry up your going to miss the bus.

Me: AHHH

Mia: calm down Ava I was only joking 😂

Me: 😑 fuck you

Mia: you wish 😉

I give up with her. Even though I hate school, I don't want to go back to my house and ask for a lift from my mother. As she's going to work half an hour after I leave, so I get a bit panicky if I miss the bus. Mia knows this and uses it to her advantage. She says this to me whenever I'm late (which is not often)

I get to the bus stop and notice that the bus is already coming down the street. I must be really late.
When I get on the bus I see Mia giving me a devilish look.

"I hate you!" I state as I sit down next to her. She looks at me and takes out her earphones. "What was that, I couldn't here your lies" we both burst out laughing. eventually settling down and listen to music.

In case you haven't guessed, Mia is my best friend. We were on the same primary but only became friends in year 4. So we've know each other for quite a while. Now we are on year 8 and still best friends.

We talk and listen to music on the bus ride to our version of hell. This is what we normally do, but today Mia was fidgeting with her hands and keeps Changing the subject whenever I point this out. Almost like she's trying to keep something from me.

Now I knew there was something she was keeping from me, but it seems she's nervous. This can't be good. Mia is a very outgoing and confident person.
