Chapter 19

"Hey guys, so the cafeteria had so much choice but I just picked up some..." remmi stopped talking and walking as soon as she saw Taylor and me looking at her. Both of us were crying, we didn't know how else to react. "Oh no what's happened?" Remmi asked, dropping the food on the ground and walking over to us, looking back and forth between us and Lauren. "Lauren! You're awake!" She said smiling, but her smile dropped when she saw Taylor shaking her head. "Hi.. I'm um .. Lauren is it?" I nodded at her. "Ok and um who are you?" Remmi's eyes widened in shock and her hand flew to her mouth. Tears started rolling down her face and she was shaking her head. "Hello girls, I came as quickly as I could. What's the problem?" Lauren's nurse came rushing in, heading straight for Lauren. "We think... We thinks she's lost her memory." I said, not even realizing id said anything until the words came out. The nurse stopped fiddling with Lauren's drip and looked up at all three of us. "What did you say?" "Well she woke up and asked who we were, and she didn't even know her own name." my voice cracked and the tears came rushing out. Taylor wrapped her arms around me, laying her head on my shoulder. "Girls, could you please step outside, just for a minute. " we all nodded and made our way out into the corridor. As we left I heard Lauren's voice. "Who are those people? Why are they crying? Who are you?" I closed the door behind me before I could hear any more. We sat down in a row on the hard cold chairs in the corridor. "Do you think... It could be a long term thing?" Taylor asked, but I know all three of us were thinking it. "I guess we will have to wait and see what the nurse says." I answered. I heard footsteps coming up the corridor and looked up to see Liam, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Harry walking towards us. As soon as they noticed we weren't inside the room their pace quickened. "What's going on? Has something happened?" Niall asked coming to a halt in front of us. He looked at the door then at me. "She woke up... And didn't recognize us." I answered, holding back another load of tears. "Oh no, no no no!" Niall shouted. He walked to the door and pushed it open with such force the rest of us jumped back a little. We then followed him into the room, scared of what he might do. The nurse was sitting with Lauren, and they both looked up in surprise at the outburst. Lauren looked at all of us from her bed, taking in each face but stopped on Nialls face. She looked at him with confusion then suddenly her face relaxed. A big smile appeared on her face, "Niall!"
