Chapter Three
The car ride home was silent except the constant ring of my phone. Everytime I got a message, my phone would light up and so would my face. "Sarah and Brandon sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g!" Chaunette said to break the silence of no conversation.
"Oh, I've only known him for a couple hours! Hold on real quick." I saw another message from Brandon. The car stopped at a light and Chaunette took the chance and grabbed my phone. "Hey!"
"Tell me how it went, then I'll give you your phone back." Chaunette explained.
"Okay. He taught me how to skate, Shaw called us 'Lovebirds', I kissed him on the check, he kissed me on the lips. Now can have the phone?"
"Very well then." She handed me my phone back, obviously not satisfied. I turned it on to see several messages from Brandon. "What did he say?"
"He asked if I could go to Soldier Field tomorrow to watch their morning skate and then hang out with him afterwards. He's taking me out for lunch and a walk around Chicago."
"Aw! Shaw is right! You guys are lovebirds!"
We finally arrived to our apartment building but we live in two separate units. I live alone but she lives with Andrew across the hall.
"Thank you so much for taking me with! I have to thank you for introducing me Brandon."
"You should thank Andrew. He's the one that got Brandon to notice you!"
"I'll thank him later. Good night!" We went our separate ways and to "bed". It was 11:20pm and I ended up staying up till 1:00am just texting Brandon. It's amazing how can happen in just one night. The last text I got from him was, "I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I can't stop thinking about you. But i know you gotta get to bed. Good night, love :)"
