Risking The L Word

Chapter One

The stern look on Felix's face greeted Nicole as she entered his office.

"The day hasn't finished yet and here I am again" Nicole looks annoyed as she stomped her feet. "What is it now?"

"I want you take down a mafia."

"Oh joy" She said in a totally high pitched tone. "I guess I have to wash my towels again cause they will be stained with blood again after I used them."

"My dear Nicole," Felix snickered, playing with his pen on the table. "You won't do killing this time." Nicole confusingly stared at the old man as he continued explaining.

"All I need is you to squeeze out all information on the mafia. Then that would be all"

Nicole tsked. "It's just a piece of cake. I could finish it easily." Felix shook his head slowly and chuckled. "I'm afraid to say this but I'm sure that this mission cannot be done easily"

Nicole's mouth opened slightly as she tilted her head to a side. "And why is that?"

"This time, we'll be using an indirect action."

"What do you mean?"

"I think I should explain this further with your partner."

Before Nicole could ask anything, a tall young man entered the room as if on cue. Nicole turned to her side as the young man walked towards them.

Nicole raised an eyebrow as the young man gently smiled. "Agent Gonzales will be your partner in this mission"

The old man lightly patted the young man's back as the two agents stared at each other sternly.

"I never expected it would be you, Agent Gonzales" The young man glanced at Nicole who was still staring out on the window.

"Ditto, Agent Nicole" He laughed as he took another turn. "But stop with the formalities. Just call me Roberto."

He glanced at her once again when she didn't reply, he saw that Nicole was still sulking ever since they got in the car.

"Seriously, did you not miss me?" Roberto said with a smug smile on his face in which Nicole responded with a frustrated groan which made him laugh out loud.

"All I ever wanted was a break. Is that too much to ask?" Nicole ran her hands on her hair. "Damn that old guy"

"I miss you too, Nikki." He said as she snorted. "I miss my break more."

"So, have you ever thought what are we gonna do in this mission?" Roberto said, changing the topic. "I think this would be a little difficult"

"I actually thought it would be easy. But, with indirect action? Hell no" Nicole crossed her arms.

Roberto agreed with her thought. "Henry Alford will be hard to take down"

"I think so. I never thought that wealthy entreprenuer will be an illegal mafia boss." Nicole said. "And I can't believe that there are recruits from high school!"

"I heard of his mafia once. I was told that they were powerful" Roberto halted the car into a stop and they both leapt out of the car.

"How are we going to take them down huh?" Nicole mumbled to herself. "This would really take time since we're going to start from the school itself and disguise as students."

Roberto opened the door to their assigned new house for the mission. "A public high school, mind you." He practically throwed himself on the sofa, tiredness consuming him.
