~By: LaurenOutOfTheBlueBeing lonely is like having a huge house inside of you that only one room is full. That room is your small bedroom where you spend all you time. That room is sad and dull -the only decorations are of relatives, but you have no where else to go because all the other rooms are empty.
Meeting a person/people special brings a light into your house. They come into your empty house and help you. They help you decorate it, they help you give it life. They show you places in that house you never knew there were. There could be hidden furniture in a room you never knew of because you didn't have to courage to explore alone.
That's what brings some people to depression; they just haven't found that special person yet, they haven't found their light. They can also lock all the doors of the house, shutting out people. They haven't seen the hidden furniture in their house. They haven't found opportunities.
Be a light for someone. Be kind to everyone, you never know how special you are to someone. You can brighten someone's day by giving a compliment.
You may be the person in the house, you may be a Light. It all depends on how you let things affect you. If you are the person in the house don't be afraid. Unlock your doors. Explore. Find the hidden furniture. Find your light. NEVER give up on looking for it. There is someone who will accept you for who you are, for your flaws and your perfections. And if you can't find that person, be your own light. Be Confident about yourself, because you are unique in so many ways no matter what people tell you. DON'T change your self for someone else. Change for your self. You are beautiful and amazing. Be yourself.
~This was inspired by the song "No Vacancy" by OneRepublic.

PoetryThis is a thing about loneliness, about how it feels. No I'm not lonely I just wrote this while listening to "No Vacancy" by OneRepublic. Something in the song made me think about it.
