Another check on your list
Another scar on my wrist
Another tear on the tile
Just to stay there a while
And an x for your o's
Another act for your show
Some more pressure for the plate
Now your whole lifes at stake
Just another trick with a treat
Your another cheater, so you cheat
And all these chains
just hold me down.
Holding me closer to the ground.
Will I ever really be able
to take a shot
to make a shot
But how to do that without
Being drunk in thought.
My words are worthless
between you and me
but maybe one day they'll all see
how far I've come
how loose I've sprung.
How that noose is hung....
Drawing breathe from my lungs .........
And all the chains......
They just hold us down.
