Mega Man Neo

Chapter 4: Days of Yesteryear

Mega Man Neo, the result of the fusion between Human, Rokku, and Robot turned Reploid, Mega Man, was born thanks to Dr. Ciel, Cerveau and Doigt, as well as the one who previously attempted to rebuild the ancient hero. Rokku, although initially scared at first, fought against a swarm of Mechaniloids approaching The Sanctuary. Due to the fusion, Rokku seems to be learning quickly and adapting to his new form and skills. However, he is still a beginner!

Fortunately for Mega Man Neo, a training simulator was available for him. This training simulator were usually used for Faucon, Bill and others. With Cerveau tinkering the Control Panel a bit, he was able to create simulations suited for Mega Man Neo.

Within the simulation room, Mega Man Neo was challenging "Viruses", computer versions of the Mechaniloids that often seen such as Galleons. The settings were set to Level 7, the highest being Level 20. As Rokku fought, Mega Man continued to coach him. This training simulation was doing the trick, because Rokku was able to use his Mega-Buster without the recoil knocking him back and he was able to move quickly on his feet.

Currently, Mega Man Neo was in a digital-like realm with a black background, red, green and yellow lines forming grids on the floors and walls*. After destroying the last Virus available, Mega Man Neo turned to the screen where Ciel and Cerveau were observing. As he did this, the room changed into a blue room with square tiles everywhere in a grid-like fashion**.

"Hey! Can you crank it up to Level 10?!" Rokku asked. "No! No! Level 12!?"

Ciel looked at Cerveau and nodded. With confirmation, Cerveau cranked it up to Level 12 as requested.

"Heh Heh, alright! Level 12, coming right up!" Cerveau replied.

The entire room changed again, this time it had a blue sky with tons of clouds. It was like Mega Man Neo was on a airship that's moving very fast. In front of him was a Virus resembling Dogu the Giant.

"That's a big Mechaniloid!" Rokku yelled, holding onto his Mega-Buster (Combi-Carrier version, meaning he's using his left hand currently).

"Don't flip out!" Mega Man instructed.

"Be careful, Mega Man!" Ciel cried. "The Dogu is no child!"

"Ready..." Cerveau said, raising his finger. "GO!" With that, Cerveau began the simulation. Immediately, the Dogu shot it's floating hands at Mega Man Neo, prompting him to jump in the air to evade it, charging his Mega-Buster in the process. He landed back on the airship and released his charged shot at the hands. It did barely nothing. One hand returned to the giant while the other slid it's fist along the airship to knock Mega Man Neo off the airship. Mega Man Neo held out his hands in an attempt to push the fist back. Somehow, Mega Man Neo was delaying getting "knocked" off the airship (keep in mind that this IS a simulation). However, the inevitable was going to come... Soon, Mega Man Neo's hands flashed bright for a brief second and suddenly, he had bigger and stronger hands. Without questioning it right away, Mega Man Neo pushed the fist back. To his surprise, the fists were increasing his push. However, the Dogu's hand flicked it's finger to knock his opponent back.

"According to my data, we've just unlocked the "Mega-Knuckle"!" Mega Man said through the Combi-Carrier. The device was merged with Rokku's big hands too. He took a closer look at his hands and he made a realization: His hands didn't grow bigger, he's just had large, metallic, power fist attachments! He was wearing dark blue gauntlets that reached nearby his knuckles. He also had black gloves, replacing the white fingertips of his fingerless gloves.*
