A year later
Willow and Cole remained friends, but both knew that dating was out of the question. Willow decided to wait awhile before dating again. In fact she hadn't dated in over a year. Her friends and family accepted her decision and didn't pressure her into anything.
The filming for Riverdale season three had ended. KJ went home. Madelaine, Lili and Cami went back to New York. Willow stayed in LA. A few days after filming ended there was a knock on her door. She hauled herself off the couch to answer it. Who she saw was most definitely not who she expected.
"Hi?" It came out a question. He cleared his throat and held out the bouquet of pale pink flowers he was holding.
"Hi. These are for you." Willow grabbed them and smelled them.
"Thanks. Why are you here?"
"It's nice to see you too." He said, rolling his eyes playfully. "I wanted to know if you'd like to go to dinner with me."
"Like a date?" Willow asked. His cheeks flushed pink.
"I-If you want it to be." Willow smiled.
"It's a date! What time? And how nicely do I need to be dressed?"
"Six work for you? Casual is fine." Willow nodded.
"I'll see you then." He nodded and waved before turning and walking down the hall to the elevator.
Willow closed the door and walked into the kitchen. After putting her flowers in water she went to find clothes for dinner. She dug through her closet until she found the perfect outfit. She smiled.
Three hours later she was finishing up with her and getting ready to do her makeup. She stood in the bathroom and pulled everything out of her make up bag. She decided to go with simple make up. Nothing to extravagant. After all she had known him for quite awhile now. He knew what to expect. She pulled a tube of lipstick out and applied it. She finished with her make up and sat on the couch until he arrived. She scrolled tough Twitter and Instagram to pass the time. There was a knock on the door. She jumped up and grabbed her purse of the counter. She opened the door and smiled.
"You look beautiful, Willow." He said.
"You don't look so bad yourself, Casey." He offered Willow his hand, and then blushed when she accepted. They talked from the moment they left her apartment until their date ended three and a half hours later.
