What is a Scream?

What is a scream?

Is it a sound of joy, used when one is too excited to form words?

Is it a sound of fear, expressing strong emotions of terror?

Is it a surprised sound, used when one is both happy and sad?

Or is it a sound of darkness and despair, used when one is broken and numb?

Does it express the darkness and emptiness within when no words can describe the feeling of being utterly alone and without hope?

And even if it were to properly express such feelings, would anyone even care enough to fix the problem?

Would anyone even see that there is a problem?

Or would a scream for help be passed off as merely a disruption of peace for all who hear it's desperate tone?
