After my last period, I quickly ran to my locker and stashed my books before bolting through the parking lot.

I quickly followed my pace as I was afraid Natasha would drag me to her house if ever she would caught me. It's not as if I could avoid her forever. We were neighbors.

And avoiding Natasha? Who am I kidding? That girl could smell me even if I'm blocks away, and as if sensing her I turned around and sure enough she was also quickly wanning towards me.

*waving + running = wanning*

"Are you seriously running away from me?" She said when she caught up.

"No, I remembered, Irene said something about earlier when she dropped by the house and I didn't understand what it was. So I have to drop by at their house first." I said.

It wasn't lie, my sister Irene, really did visited me this morning, she was babbling about something and I think, it slipped through my mind.

"Ok then I'll come with you" she said.

"No!" I told her, almost like shouting. "I mean, you know, Patrick doesn't like anyone from school seeing that-"

"I'll stay at the car then" she insisted and before I could answer( as always) she pulled me into my car and drive.

"You know," I told her. We where already near at my sister's house. She lives at the other part of the town with her family. It wasn't a long drive just half an hour. Can't believe Patrick would drive such  long minutes just to be with her family.

"Why is that you drive instead of me?" I asked her.

She glance at me for awhile before turning her attention back at the road.

"It's because you love so much, you'll let me drive." She said, "Oh We're here!" she happily announce.

Just then the door opened and Irene  came out holding a garbage bag. She stared at me for awhile before a huge smile appeared.

I really do love my sister, but when we were together. I felt like I was the older one and she's the youngest because of how pretty she was.

And that I was still grateful at her for taking care of me.

"Krislynn? What are you doing here?" she asked, running to hug me. "Hey Tash! Why don't you come over to the kitchen! I've got some cookies" she said to Natasha who stayed at the car.

At the said of cookies, Tasha immediately killed the engine and got out of the car.

"Thanks Mrs. Turner, is Mr. Turner back already?" Tasha asked.

"Ah, yes, but  his doing the laundry thats why he's not here" Irene said, "Don't tell anyone that he's been doing the laundry ok." she said, earning a snicker from both of us. Irene lead us to the kitchen which smell like lemon cookies.

"So what brings you here?" She asked and I almost forgot. Irene served us with ice tea and a dozen of cookies in each  plates.

"Oh yeah," I told her, putting my glass down,"I wasn't listening this morning to what you're saying, so I came to ask what was it you're saying again?"

She looked at me, wide eyes and mouth open hanging. And I only answered her bizarre facial expression in a quirk of an eyebrow.

She started laughing, Natasha and I looked at each other before turning our heads back to her.

"Well, here I thought, you don't care that's why you didn't react this morning" she said, "I said I'm pregnant and you're going to be an aunt!"she said, taking my hands in hers and grinning at me.

At that, Natasha almost choked at the ice tea she was just drinking.

"We'll congratulations!" I said, putting a little effort to make her smile even wider.

"And where have you been young lady?"

It's almost 7 when we got back, and since Natasha is driving, we went directly to her house, which is opposite from my house.

Simon, Tasha's older brother was waiting at their front porch. Arms cross.

"It's my fault, you see-" I said trying to explain when he gestured for me to stop. I tried catching Natasha's glare but she was looking down, bracing herself for a serious talk.

"Did you know that it's bad to keep the," he said in a very serious and scary tone, "food waiting!" he said suddenly, making my head look up. He was smiling now.

"It was just a joke! Come on you guys!" he said, before grabbing at us to the kitchen.

"-____________-"

"Hey Kris!"

"Hi Krislynn!"

"Hello Miss Krislynn"

"It's good to see you Krislynn"

"Are you getting shorter? Or am I just getting taller?"

"Nice try, Jake!" I said pushing Jake, Tasha's brother away.

When at the Smith's household, I feel like I'm always bombarded with everything.

"It' gonna be a long night" I whispered to my self, as I was being drag again by non other than the power house Natashas Smith

 ~

Indeed it was a gathering. Just like what Tasha was telling me about. The 7 smith's were lounging at the sofa, holding each a piece of pizza while their eyes were completely glued to the screen.

We were watching the classic Spider Man.

"These guys, living with them it isn't easy right?" I asked at Tasha, who was munching on her last part of the pizza.

"Ofcourse not." she said, before  munching again.

An awkward silence followed after that, not that it awkward for her, but it is awkward for me.

"Kris, I'm you're best friend. I can tell when you're not yourself today." she suddeny said making me look up to her.

"I'm ok, don't worry about me." I told her, but she only gave me "the stare", the kind of stare if-you-tell-me-your-problem-I'll-be-kind-to-you-but-if-not-you'll-be-dead kinda stare.

"Girl talk?"

We both jumped at the sound of Philip's voice, the smith's sweatheart of a brother. He's the second brother, next to Simon.

"We'll then, I'd better step out before any of you girls kick me out" he said quickly.

Winking at us before finally stepping out of the room.

I laugh.

"I really can't get away from you Smiths." I told natasha, still laughing but happy.

For the first time.
