Chapter 2

Nick buckled himself in a seat next to Tommy, and watched as Uni worked the ship to set a coordinate to their destination.

"So, Nick, are you ready for your first ever space flight?" Tommy asked, and Nick nodded, looking at him. "Though, if you get sick just tell me, I mean, I got sick my first time."

"Well, I was being trained to go into space the same time as I was working on the time machine..." Nick thought back to his friends, Bill, his now ex-girlfriend. Tommy noticed the expressions on Nick's face, and put a hand on Nick's.

"Are you okay?" Tommy asked, and Nick nodded slowly.

"Uh, yeah. Just thinking about the team I had to work with the time machine on, I-I just miss them."

"You do know that your girlfriend was cheating on you with like, half the team right?" Tommy asked, and Nick frowned.

"I know she was cheating on me with Bill but...how do you know this?" Nick asked.

"I know everything there is to your story, future boy," Tommy laughed quietly and looked out the window. "Hey, we're already in space."

Nick looked out the window and Tommy was right, they were. The whole conversation kept Nick distracted from anything else except Tommy.

"Hey, Nick, you wanna see something cool?" Tommy asked, and Nick nodded. Tommy gripped his own yellow face, and then pulled it off. Nick watched in horror, and then noticed that there was more yellow, it wad a mask? Yes. A mask. There was also pale skin and bleach blonde hair.

"Tommy, did you tear up another body suit? You know how much that scares people..." Uni looked at the two of them with a frown, and Tommy shrugged.

"It's funny to see their reactions though, like, Nick you-" Tommy cut himself off when Nick felt the torn fabric on the suit still.

"This is interesting, a body suit that acts like flesh..."

"You actually impressed with it?" Uni asked, and Nick nodded slowly. "Well, Tommy, looks like somebody actually does like your inventions, or at least one of them."

"You made this yourself, Tommy?" Tommy nodded. "Amazing, absolutely amazing. Have you shared your invention with others yet?" Nick asked.

"No, I didn't think people would like it, plus it was just for doing what I did five minutes ago..." Tommy rubbed the back of his neck.

"I'm sure others would love it! A body suit that just basically morphs onto you to act as another body. You need to tell me more about this, and those over inventions of yours." Nick soon began to ramble on and on with questions as Tommy got out of his body suit.

"Well, lads, we're here. Delivery the package." Uni told them, parking the ship. Tommy nodded and went over to press the door open, but Nick grabbed his arm.

"W-Wait, we just can't go out there without helmets or any oxygen, we'll die!" Tommy laughed and held Nick close.

"Xerxhi 5 has oxygen and all the regular stuff Earth has, it basically is like a second one, but it's the 1027th planet like earth we've found. C'mon." Tommy opened the door, and took Nick's hand. Nick held onto Tommy's hand firmly, and carried the package in his other arm.

They walked to the house of the person who asked for the delivery, did the signing, and would've went right back to the ship if Nick didn't lose Tommy in a big crowd.

Nick looked around, panicking. His heart was racing and he probably looked insane. He made his way through and out of the crowd, and tried finding Tommy but sadly didn't.

Maybe he went back to the ship?

Oh, it was a hopeless thought anyways since Nick didn't remember where the ship was!

He sat down by a wall and tried taking a few deep breaths. Okay, it would be okay. He just had to get to high ground and-

"There you are!" Tommy yelled out, and helped Nick to his feet. Tommy looked Nick up and down, and hugged him tightly. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Nick. I-I just got distracted and let go of your hand, o-oh my gosh can you forgive me?"

"J-Just take me back t-to the ship..." Tommy nodded and wrapped an arm around Nick, keeping an eye on him as they made their way back to the ship.

Once they got inside, Uni was there, sitting and looking at the two of them. "Tommy, what the hell did you do to him?"

"I-I lost him in a crowd because I saw something cool...Oh uh, and I got for you too, Nick." Tommy opened his jacket pocket and pulled out a small plush version of himself. He handed the plush to Nick, who took it slowly out of his hands.

Nick smiled and hugged Tommy, too bothered to say any words at all. He kissed Tommy cheek, and went to sit back down in his seat.

Tommy smiled, and sat down as well, then looked at Uni. Uni rolled his eyes and started up the ship, then they were on their way back to Earth.

"Oh man, it's late." Nick sighed as they left the building.

"Mhm, c'mon Nick, let's head to my place, you can stay with me. U-Unless you want a hotel or-"

"I'd like to see your place." Nick said, and Tommy nodded.

"Though, I don't have a second bed, but I do have the couch. You want to sleep on it or do you want to take my bed?"

"Hmm, I'll decide when I see the couch." Tommy nodded. They walked to Tommy's place, and Nick could already tell the place would be messy.

"Here we are!" Tommy opened the door, and Nick looked at all the trash and clothes on the floor. Nick frowned and looked at the couch, and saw some weird bug crawl on it.

"Tommy, if it's okay, can I sleep in your bed with you? I don't want either of us sleeping on that couch."

"Y-Yes, y-you can t-totally sleep with me...in my bed! Yep! Hah..." Tommy was flustered, and Nick laughed.

"And tomorrow, the two of us are cleaning up this place, no excuses." Tommy groaned, and the two stripped down to their boxers and climbed into the bed. Nick cuddled his Tommy plush, and Tommy cuddled Nick.

It was the best sleep Nick had in a very long time.
