Her hair was red as the fire.

Eyes gloomy as the October sky.

She smelled like lemon,

and sleep, and chocolate,

everything nice.

I used to sit back and watch her laugh.

I used to notice the way her eyes lit up when she smiles.

I used to know her.

I used to remember her.

But this morning I woke up,

and suddenly she's another person.
