The click of the door locking echoed in the hall. Areona went to his room and showered, washing away all the grime he felt and letting the warm water wash over him. He groaned as his muscles relaxed and his eyes closed.
Ya... maybe he'll eat in the morning. Toweling off, he climbed in bed, closing his eyes, he was cast into oblivion.
~°~•~°~•~°~
It is assumed that he set the alarm in the car. And please comment if the 5th Chapter is messed up.
~°~•~°~•~°~The beeping was getting annoying. Gah, why did he have to turn on the alarm on his phone to go off at 6:00? Areona groaned and he got up and stretched, enjoying the sound of his bones popping.
He got out of bed before yelping and hopping to his closet. Whoever thought that putting tile in a room where people sleep, was obviously insane. Areona shivered, he should have put on clothes last night. He got dressed, grabbed the bag he brought, put his phone in his pocket, and went to the restroom.
After brushing his teeth and hair he started walking to the front door. The house was empty of the feet that used to walk it's floors. When his father died, all of the staff was fired. And with no one to clean the house, a small layer of dust had settled.
He continued out to his black Ferrari LaFerarri, it had solar panels on the top and was electric. So that when he drove, Areona could be eco-friendly. He got in his car and started driving to the CCG headquarters. His meeting with the chief was gonna be a blast.
Please note the sarcasm that just seems to come out of his mouth.
The streets were packed and a rumble in the distance signaled a storm was coming. The CCG's headquarters wasn't that far from where he lived, so it didn't take long for him to arrive. It took him a minute to find a parking spot, but he found one and parked.
As he stepped out of his vehicle a flash of lightning lit up his face and he inhaled. He just loved the smell of electricity in the air, that and the smell of fire and blood. Areona gave a sadistic grin as his mood was lifted. He hummed as he walked towards the building.
It was tall, and bustling with activity, and he had to avoid bumping into anyone. He walked up to a counter where several people say. The only one open was with a woman, her tired face staring at a glowing computer screen.
"Excuse me ma'am, I have a meeting with the director in... " he glanced at the clock which showed 7:23. "7 minutes."
After a second of typing the woman adjusted the glasses on her face. "Yes, Orimo sir. Mr. Siwne will see you now. He's on the 7th floor." Areona nodded and removed the expression on his face. He never really felt that many emotions but he always made sure to smile, fake though it was.
He soon arrived on the 7th floor, after a disgustingly crowded ride on the elevator. He was pretty sure someone pinched his ass... Yes next time he'll definitely take the stairs.
The area was just a bland white, but there were a lot of people walking around. It was almost suffocating as he eased through the sea of annoying people.
Siwne's office door was mostly clear of people so it wasn't that hard to walk up to. Areona knocked on the door and waited, his emotionless face unnerving some people.
"Come in." Siwne called after a minute. Areona walked in, his suit startling black against his porcelain skin. "Ah, Mr. Orimo now is there anything you want to discuss here today?"
"Actually yes. Do you have a form so I can request more officers? I had some reassigned." Areona said as he sat in one of the office chairs.
"Yes actually," Siwne said as he opened his own desk and started shuffling through there. Soon he took out a paper and handed it to Areona. "That's the updated version of the paper. How many guards are you thinking of needing?"
"About 20." Areona said after estimating how many will die.
"Well that should be easy. You know most of our agents are in the 9th ward, but if each ward gave you one of their low level agents that should be efficient enough." Siwne said thoughtfully as he tapped his nails on his desk.
Areona said nothing and just nodded. Low level agents would be best because they would be less missed. So they discussed things for about half an hour before Siwne had to leave.
Some idiot had gone and gotten himself killed it seemed. Areona smiled as he left the building. Ha, seems like his ghouls were active.
Well he had about an hour before his next meeting, so he decided to get something to eat and some coffee. He drove past the 20th ward line and continued into the city. This ward was actually low on ghouls.
Which was a tad bit of a bum, well either low on ghouls or they're hiding it well. Areona sighed and looked around. The traffic was pretty bad here so he looked around for a place to park.
He paid the fee and parked. Getting out of the car he kicked it and started walking. Now, where's a coffee shop when you need it?
