When I got to New Mexico for an assignment, I thought all would be well.  I would do the job, and get a new assignment when I went back to Nebraska.

Then I started hearing about the term Skinwalkers.  I had no clue what they were, and I didn't care much to find out.  I had and still aren't one for made up shit like that.  I kept to myself, and wasn't one to hang about the town, so I never cared.

Sometimes, the men I worked with would complain about noises they heard during the night that would keep them awake.  The men I worked with also were very interested in the creepy stories the locals told them, and when we had a break, would talk about what they heard that day in town.

I thought it was all fun and games at first.  Because we lived in a place where nothing interesting really happened, it was a new experience for them.

Then there were the sightings.  Paranormal sightings in the area we were working.  I don't think it wasn't until one of the men we worked with didn't show up, that it became a real thing.

I didn't see the man personally, but those who did said he was curled up in fetus position, rocking back and forth.  When asked if he was alright, he looked into your eyes and said in a shaky voice,

"Hooves, eyes.  It laughed"

He had to be taken to a local hospital for shock.  I, for one, didn't believe him, and thought it was just stress of the work.
