*School's speaker system beeps twice*
"Attention, students of CMH. Today, after school gets out, please make sure to head down to the IT office to get your laptops update with the newest software. You all need to update the software on your laptops or else certain functions won't work. That's because the laptop company is a snakeu and wants to take all our money and--" Toward the end of his announcement, a second voice shrieked in the background, "Davis, I told you to say the first part! Don't start bringing your economical views and imposing it on our school!"
"It's Davis again." Min leaned over to Jewel, who was half asleep while reading her textbook in English class. "And he is back at it again with his rebellious comments!" Min punched the air several times to mimic the point that Davis was constantly battling with the teachers. "Keep fighting ma boiii." Min said half supporting half mocking.
"I'm shocked that they still have him in charge of our school's announcements. He's just a freshman." Jewel said, yawning and switching her position to a more comfortable position as she shifted resting her head on her left arm to her right arm.
After a few echoes of chairs moving and voices speaking through the intercom, Davis resumed speaking as he sat back down and brought the headset over his head. "Yes, as I said before. Please, students of CMH, get your laptops updated today after school is dismissed." Davis' tone was more flat than earlier, as if he had just gotten punished by his parents and was returning to apologize.
"But be careful! This world is becoming like a clogged up toilet! Before you know it, you'll over flow with anger because of all their crap!" All the students just sat awkwardly and quietly in the room as they heard the footsteps of Davis run out of the recording room and close the door shut behind him. When the students thought that the announcement was over, they were proven wrong. "Davis!" The same lady from earlier yelled his name as the sound of her following after him was audible.
"Delightful." Yoongi said as he was laying down on the floor of the IT office. He kept a blanket in the closet of his office for emergency naps and usually brought it out... well, every day almost.
"Wait..." Yoongi's eyes widened at the realization about what the announcement meant. It meant,
All the students of CMH will be coming down to my office... All the students... All, the--
In the blink of an eye, Yoongi got up from his navy blue blanket and ran out his office, and down to the main office of the school to solve a serious question he had.
"Hi, how can I help you?" Miss Hailey, the office manager, asked with a bright smile that was surprisingly brighter than her hot pink lipstick that day.
Trying to catch his breath while working his best to keep himself look calm, he asked, "How many students attend this high school?"
A bit confused why he was asking, she gave him a puzzled look before redirecting her focus on her computer screen. She began to click here and there on the computer mouse and type a few words into the server before she finally pulled up the student roster for the school.
"There are 620 students here at Central Massa High." Miss Hailey couldn't help but smile when she told Yoongi. But it wasn't because of his awkward gummy smile, or the fact that his hair was starting to drip with his sweat. Instead, she was smiling at the fact that he was now half way out of the office and running toward the front doors of the school.
As Yoongi ran toward the front entrance to head out, he held his fingers up and was doing some major calculations. The most calculating he had done for several years since he dropped out of high school.
