CHAPTER 3

Stepping out of the car felt like the most liberating thing I've done all day,with a sense of hurry I quickly waved (shooed) at granny as she walked to the chapel for mass. Luckily we had arrived just before the priest made their entrance.
I made a quick beeline to the hall where we had to collect our robes,who knew 7years ago when we walked into this campus that'll we'll be leaving so soon let alone be standing right now with our robes on our hands ready to graduate. It seems kinda of a long time and thou some people might just want to get it over with I on the other hand wanted to soak up every inch of the campus before leaving,cause this wasn't just high school to me it was my home and it sure felt like it.
Mass had just begun and we were expected to go in anytime soon.
" hey bro" I heard a familiar voice turning,
It was my closest friends
" hey Sean ,how you doing?" Giving him or signature handshake not many people did it but we made it kinda our thing.
" I'm fine dude ,wow so you really went ahead a gain 2inches on me didn't you" Sean said rather amazed normally he was regarded as the tallest amongst us three but while leaving at the end of last year I made sure to change that.
" haha I told you I was going to change the right ,now who's the dwarf" It felt good to be able to tease him about his height I've been looking forward to this moments in months.
I could see he didn't like being called that.the smirk on of his face right now was priceless" whatever dude"
" welcome to my world,sucks right"

" Yeah I can see what you were so worked up about"

" tell me about it,so where our favorite sister I thought you were going to bring her alone today" Sean's always talking about his Jr sis ,I've actually only seen pictures of her she was actually beautiful and also one of the reasons I set out to look as charming as possible.

" Hmm she's in her way with mom,mom had to go grab dad at the airport and she went alone,I was planning on waiting for them but decided on just coming them a head start ..they'll be here in les than an hour's time" Sean's dad was a chartered accountant and isn't very stable he travels from one country to another but from what Sean told me the longest he spends in a country is 3months the only time he came close to beating that record was last summer he almost made it an extra week .

" bummer,was really looking forward to meeting her ,I think we'll just hit it off from the start and who knows you might be looking at your inlaw" I loved teasing him,he really didn't like me taking about his Jr sister like that,if course I wasn't serious she cute and all but no ,something about her being my bros Jr sister kinda turned me off even thou she was just a year younger than him.

" hey back off..with your history I don't wanna see you anywhere near her,"I cold she his face already turning brick red

" Come on I'm a changed man,Sandra really tamed me" Sandra was my ex before her I was kinda just flirting around until she came along I can say she was the only person who came close to getting me settled..I liked her a lot but seemed she had to travel and I don't actually dig the long distance relationship thing so we broke up..thou we went on good terms but it didn't make it less painful thou it didn't mean spent all night crying just occasional empty feelings I get when I was alone the kind you feel no one else can fill.After she had told me that she was going to Japan to live with her mom.we had decided to just leave in the moment till she eventually left. On the eve of her departure was one of the memories of her I had imprinted in my soul.
We had gone to the movies but decided to go back home to somewhere more private.we had gathered all the collection of twilight and started watching it in my room ...we watched the first and the tension between Bella and Edward kinda created one amongst us. Acting in instincts I walked n close the door. We put in the second and started when she touched my arm facing her I could see she had tears in her eyes....
" Scott ,it's time to go" Sean said, I had been so absorbed into my thoughts I forgot I was engaged in a discussion..thinking about Sandra had that effect on me,men she dug her roots deep
"Okay " was all I could manage to say my mind wasn't stl settled yet

" I can see Sandra still has that effect on you, you really loved her didn't you"Scott replied noticing the sad expression I'd tried to hide

" Yeah she was cool wasn't she " I knew I had been in love with Sandra but that wasn't anything I was gonna tell Sean and besides I was still trying to get over her and me saying it over and over isn't helping just tormenting me the more.

" so which university did you send your application forms to?" Sean wasn't my best friend for nothing he understood me well he knew when to push and when he needed to stop.

" well all two applications are to the university of Buea and St Louis institute of chiropractic medicine.But I haven't received any letter from either of them so fingers crossed what about you I thought you'll already be somewhere in india cooking up done herbs by now" one thing that made Sean stevens and I close was not only our understanding of each other but also the dream we share that is medicine and the desire to help others.

" hurry guys mass is already going on,save the chit chat for later" that was the sound of the brother John . We had decided to take the entrance procession with the priest so we quickly lined up ..I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when we entered the chapel  familiar faces ,seeing the look of envy on the younger ones in form one was almost unforgettable I know that cause that's exactly how I felt when I saw my elder bro graduate leaving behind to cope with boarding life alone.Now it was my turn and I couldn't help but feel proud of myself.

Mass was brief . We had just gotten out of church and everyone was doing catching up,while others took pictures .I'd already taken several pictures with my mom and granny with a few of my aunt's. We were later joined by a few friends with that my mom and the others went to the hall for the phase two of the event.That's when I say the third side of our triangle.

" Charles ,wow cool suit why didn't Sean or yourself tell me that our attire was going to be black suits...you better not be planning on kicking me out of the band" Charles was the last piece of our brotherhood,he has a perfectly black eyes,with a perfectly chiseled face and was also known as the ladies man of the group.

" hey Scott man you know I can't think of doing such ,by the way what would I gain by doing that...but I can't say the same for Sean..with the wicket way you've talking about young Alice you should really watch your back" Charles was an easy person to get along with ,with a sense of humor.

" you're right ,he almost chopped my head off this morning when I mentioned being his in law"

" who wouldn't with your reputation before Sandra who would wanna put you in the same room even with their mom"

" come on Charles I wasn't that bad I only a few innocent relationships "

" innocent relationships Scott ,you're were a play Boy legend" Sean said  clearly overhearing what I'd said." Hey Charles "

" hey man ,where have you been we've been looking for you everywhere" Charles responded"

"Went to check on mom and dad....they'll be here anytime soon".

" let's go grab some snapshots guys..." If this I'd going to be the last time I might see my best friend at least I've gotta save memories.
