Forsaken (The Night Children, Volume 1)

Hey guys! This is a really important author’s note so PLEASE read it.

Ok, here’s the thing. I’ve been doing some really heavy thinking on this story and how the series is going to go, and I realized that I need to do A LOT of editing. I’ve been working on it during my free time. Most of you know that I pretty much always update once a week. I’m going to do my best to keep that up, but be patient with me!

Also, I’m going to do some editing on the characters. It’ll be slow because it’ll be part of my chapter editing, but I’ll list most of it below.

Gaidrian: he doesn’t need much. The only thing that I’d like to change right now is his name. I said in chapter two that his nickname was Aidrian. I’m thinking about it now like “what’s the difference?” It’s basically the same name. So now his nickname is going to be Ian. Like GaidrIAN. Get it? Lol, sorry if it causes any confusion.

Astra: I need to make her less… I don’t know… whiney I guess. I don’t know, I just think I need to rethink her. I like her for the most part, but I really want her to be a good, strong female character. You guys know those annoying female characters? They either has a Bella/Twilight complex (they are weak and can’t do anything) or they have the extreme GIRL POWER complex (they are annoying badass people). Nothing wrong with girl power, because I’m totally for that, but sometimes the SCREW MEN thing gets a bit old. I want her to be a good mix of sensitive and powerful. I think that she’s fine right now, because it’ll take me awhile to figure it out properly.

Cain: I need to make him a stronger character. In my mind, before I even started writing, I pictured him as a darker character. I think I’ve only touched on that a little. I wanted him to be secluded, but still sarcastic with like… dry humor, you know? I feel like I kind of made him submissive towards Gaidrian, and HE IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE THAT WAY!! Gaidrian is supposed to think that he is better than everyone, but Cain is better than everyone. Like, I can’t spoil anything, but idk how else to explain it.

Kali: Irrelevant right now, but she wont always be that way, so I need to escribe her better.

Alexia(the mom): those of you who follow my work know who she is, but she’s supposed to be a big mystery for Astra right now, so just bear with me. ALL WILL BE REVEALED.

Richard (Dick/the dad): yeah… he’s not an important character. He does have a part in the grand scheme of things, but not much. He’s eye candy for those Batman/Robin/Nightwing fans out there!!

Bruce (the Grandfather/BATMAN!): He will be introduced soon, and I am SO excited.

Yeah, well, I think that’s all. I really need to work on character development, lol.

I’D REALLY APPRICIATE FEEDBACK ON THE CHARACTERS. IT WOULD REALLY HELP ME OUT. I WANT THIS BOOK TO BE FANTASTIC!
