Ani and the Enchanted Emerald

Good Morning

It was the fourth of may 1589 4:37 am as a entire kingdom was getting and early start to the day, fishmonger was hauling in his latest catch a 9.3 lb sockeye salmon to skin and gut, his best catch of the week. The leather workers were setting out clothing racks covered in armor of all types, and a separate rack for the dyed armor. As more and more villagers and humans started opening up their shops, setting up stands, pilling books, and making the market place as lively as it always was at 5 am in the morning. The king Forge Mc Rouse was looking down over the hustling and bustling villagers in the market and streets. "Isn't it a beautiful morning Ani?" The king said to his most trusted maiden that he has by his side. "Yes my King" Ani replied holding the kings royal daily clothing "My King you have a meeting with the kings and queens from the east today at noon to discuss travel and trademark problems" The king grabbed his daily clothing as he marched into his royal bathroom. "Thank you for reminding me Ani, and in three days I will be sending 13 troops to venture out and find that emerald to make this city the most beautiful city ever!" He gloated as he tosses his night garments out the bathroom door and onto Ani. "My King.. I um was wondering... if maybe I could join the troops out to find the emerald? And it's in two days and you were sending exactly 9 guards 2 medics and 4 scouts, please your highness I've always wanted to see outside the castle and beyond the walls" She pleaded as she folded his nightly garments and set them on his bed neatly. "Ani, this is the seventyfith time you've asked to leave the castle walls, you know my answer is and always be 'no' and I will be needing you more than ever because you are my best maiden and I need you to make a good example for the kings and queens of the east, maybe queen Harper the vallient will consider living here" he chuckled to himself with glee as he stepped outside his royal bathroom and infront of his enormous mirror admiring himself. Ani sighed of disappointment hoping that this time he'd let her go, it has been her dream to leave the castle gates and explore the world beyond what she knows inside the walls of her home town. "Go tell the chef to fetch me a wonderful breakfast, I'm starved" The king patted his stomach. "Yes my king" Ani scurried off down to the kitchen. "I need to see the world beyond these walls, maybe Xedric can help me... I'll go up to his room when the king is busy and doesn't need me, which might have to be when he's asleep" she sighed. Being the head maiden has its disadvantages, the king would always call on her to do his chores and clean for him, and sometimes dress him, Ani just wants to get away, have a break, but for Ani that's impossible, she barely gets a moment to herself during the day from being constantly worked by Forge, the palace guards,  other maids, just, everyone but it's going to be different tonight, because tonight she's gonna plan an escape. In two days she'll be free, at least until she has to go back.
