Hey everyone, I know I just started up my story and I hope you like it. I promise you it will get better and will start to update more.
Picture of Averia on the Side
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sound of the moving trucks tires against the gravel road sounded from up the driveway. "It is going to take a while for me to get used to that". I mutter to myself while getting off of the chair. I walk the short distance from the kitchen to the front door. The door of my new home squeaks a as I push it open, and the truck pulls into the driveway in front of my house. Walking out onto the porch I feel the heat hit me on the face.
“Where would you like for use to put your furniture ma’am”. I look up to see a man that looks to be in his late thirties.
“You can unload all of it into the living room, but put the bed in the bedroom. I don’t think I could carry that by myself up the stair.”
“Okay ma’am” He says turning his back to me as he walks back to the moving truck.
Turning around, I walk back into my house to start unpacking some boxes with my few possessions I own. I can’t believe I have to start my life all because of one mistake that I made. I learned to never make a deal with the devil. He can never be trusted.
The sound of heavy footsteps brings me from my train of thought. I silently thanked them for being too loud so I will not think of my stupid mistake. Turning around, I face the man from the moving company.
“Here is you couch ma’am. My names John King. I live out on 15 Mile Creek”. John says while sticking out his hand and giving me a smile that makes me envy him. Because it has been two months since I have really smiled.
“Hello I am Averia. I was afraid being out here in the woods the people wouldn’t be very friendly. Those thoughts didn’t help because this is my first time moving. and living by myself” I said while taking his hand.
“My sons Levi and Liam are taking your bed to your room. The door with the stair behind it?” He asked while tilting his head sideways.
“Yeah" I said as I take my hand from his.
Walking back over to the table, I look around my new kitchen. It is an open room that is attached to the long hallway just like every room in this old log house. In the middle of the kitchen is a wooden island. Light shone through the big open windows in the back part of the room. The sky was a deep orange and pink color. “First night in my new house.” I mutter to myself while walking down the hallway that connects all the room to the stairs at the end. The stairs are narrow and steep.
Walking into my room I see two young men that look to be in their late teens. The one with shaggy brown hair and the deepest brown eyes I have ever saw walks over to me. He stood a good 6’2” ft.
“Hi ma’am I am Levi and this is my brother Liam” He says while pointing to Liam who look like him but his hair is buzzed cut “If that is all you need we should be on our way. It is very dangerous here after dark. There are wolves around these woods”.
“Yeah, I don’t have a lot of furniture so, since you all are done, you can go home”. I said as I walked behind Levi down the stair I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up at Liam and he was giving me weird look.
“Watch out in these woods”. Liam says and I got a strong scent of something I have never scented before.
“Liam!” Levi says as he grabs him and, as Levi was dragging Liam down the stair, Liam looked back. His eyes turned a bright gold color.
