"Have a great morning you two!" The young woman at the desk said with a genuine smile as Taeyoung walked to the glass entrance, waiting for me. "I'll have your luggage transported to your house EunHa. Have fun exploring the campus," She said as she leaned over the counter. "And don't get too carried away by Taeyoung," She giggled as she dropped a ring of 3 keys in my hand along with a card. I blushed before managing to say thanks to her.
I walked my way to Taeyoung who handed me a map of the campus. "Did she say anything weird about me?" He asked as he opened the door for me and a few others who were coming in.
"She said not to get too carried away by you," I blushed. "You're not, you know," I asked awkwardly as I averted my gaze from his. "A playboy?"Taeyoung choked, doubling over on the sidewalk, attracting the attention of newcomers.
"Taeyoung?" I asked worriedly as I kneeled down to him, placing my palm on his back. He burst out laughing as he dusted himself off, leaving me kneeling on the ground confused.
"Please don't mind my aunt." Taeyoung laughed as he brushed his hair back. "She tends to say that to a few girls she finds special that I've shown around for the past month." Taeyoung explained as I breathed out.
"What exactly do you mean by special?" I pressured him with a puzzled tone as we walked a diverging path that lead to a small coffee shop.
"As in, we're becoming friends." Taeyoung explained as my heart leapt. "Close friends." He stated as he looked at me with a serious gaze as a faint smile played on his lips.My face erupted in redness as my cheeks flourished with pink. I felt my forehead and ears heat up as Taeyoung pulled me in front of him, placing his hand on my forehead. "Woah, Eunha calm down I'm sorry!"
"Sh-shut up!" I scoffed as I trembled in embarrassment. "Don't make me fall for you this early into meeting y-you. The course hasn't even started yet." I huffed as I folded my arms. Curse you K-Dramas, making me a hopeless romantic and fall for every cute and attractive guy out there!
Taeyoung caught up to me as we reached the coffee shop. He opened the door for me as the strong smell of coffee and breakfast hit me. My stomach grumbled loudly, making my fading blush spike up again. "Thank you," I squeaked as Taeyoung came in after me. The cafe was empty with only a few yawning souls snuggled into booths and window seats, their laptops and phones illuminating their morning faces.
"Welcome to the Main campus's signature cafe. I'll buy us breakfast and something to drink, I haven't eaten either." Taeyoung chortled as he brushed past me and walked up to the cashier. I stood their dumbfounded before my body walked itself to an empty booth by the window.
I blinked a few times trying to get my hormones under control.
EunHa, chill. You've just met this guy. K-Dramas rarely ever happen in real life what makes you think it'll happen to you? OKAY? Breathe girl, I know he's cute but breathe-
"Hey," Taeyoung said as he blew in my face.
Oh fuck
"Don't you know it's rude to do that?" I bit my lip flusteredly. "We just met and-"
"Calm down, I'm just joking with you." Taeyoung laughed. "But seriously, you check me out, and now you're getting so flustered what are you?" He scoffed as he stared at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "A normal 13 year old fooled by KDramas?""Shut up," I groaned as I banged my head against the table. "Shut up and let me be a teenage girl who's in love with cheesy romantic KDramas."
Taeyoung only sighed before lifting my head up."You're kinda stupid for crushing on someone you just met EunHa."
"So I'm a Disney princess?"
"What? No I-""You know how some of Disney's princesses are." I laughed as I threw my hands in their. "Oh look at me! I'm a damsel in distress that needs attention! Oh look a handsome and cute and nice guy! Wow I wanna marry you!" I chirped in a baby voice as Taeyoung laughed alongside me.
"Let's get to know each other more before you make up your mind about marrying me," Taeyoung said as the waiter eyed us as he raised an eyebrow before setting down our food. He bowed courteously before heading into the kitchen.I looked down at the food set down before me. Scrambled eggs, hashed potatoes, bacon, and a stack of 3 fairly sized pancakes with whipped cream and berries on top. Taeyoung had a steaming bowl of rice porridge with brown sugar sprinkled on top.
"Let's switch." I said as I pushed my plate away from me and dragging his close to my area.
"Or-" Taeyoung said as he stopped my movement. "We share?" He grinned goofily as he took one of my pancakes.I sighed before munching on a piece of bacon. A part of me wanted to punch him for making me feel so flustered and awkward. Another part of me tried to keep things in check with reality, deciding that punching him was both cliche and a violent act of humanity.
I looked out the window as I rested my chin on my hand. I brought the bowl to my side before digging into it with a spoon, it's aromatic smell wafting up my nose. Blowing on the porridge, I stared out the window where 3 students around my age were goofing off with each other as 4 other people tailed behind.
"Who are they?" My voice was muffled as I stuck the spoon in my mouth, the porridge instantly melting in heavenly tastes. I gulped before going in for another bite. "Sorry."Taeyoung looked to see who I was talking about.
"Do you expect me to know everyone here?" He asked as melted butter dripped from his lips.
I shrugged, "kinda." He only sighed as we ate in silence for a few seconds before he started talking again.
"I've seen them around, they get a lot of hate from weirdos on the school's forums, but they're really nice guys. They're in the touring committee with me, I think their names are-" Taeyoung said before a muffled screeched screamed bloody murder, making the boys' heads turn to the source."Kim Namjoon!" A girl growled as she held up a ripped bomber jacket that had the letters H&M written on the back.
"Who's the crazy chic?" I asked nonchalantly. Taeyoung only shrugged carelessly.
"I don't recognize her, but this is interesting, hurry up and finish. Come on." He demanded quickly before stuffing two pieces of bacon in his mouth. I rolled my eyes as I swallowed my last spoonful of porridge, the rice burning the roof of my mouth. Taeyoung lead us outside to the commotion where a guy, who I assumed was Kim Namjoon, was explaining what had happened."This was a gift from my half sister!" The girl whined as her voice cracked. "What the hell?"
Taeyoung perked up giddily, breaking the awkward scene of sadness. "Good morning fellow tour guides and eccentric girl." He said as I followed close behind him quietly.
"Taeyoung! You interrupting bum!" The girl sighed as she clenched the jacket in her hand. She turned to me with a soft yet piercing gaze. I flinched as she eyed me. "New person?" She asked as I nodded my head.
"Kang EunHa," I said as I bowed to the group. "Pleasure to meet you all?" I mumbled with an apologetic and awkward grin.
"Song JaeHee." The girl said before leaving, Namjoon jogging behind her as the two began talking in English.
Minutes passed in tense silence before a black haired male coughed, drawing everyone's attention to him. "You're new right?" He asked as I tilted my head in confusion. "Do you mind adding 6 more people to your group?"
"She's super romantic though," Taeyoung teased as he danced circles around me. "But, I don't think she'll mind." He smirked before leaning in close to my face. "Right, princess newbie?"
