Your heart was racing as you ran around your underground laboratory, sorting through paperwork and testing chemical reactions. The virus was spreading at an alarming rate, and there was no end in sight if a cure was not found immediately. You were looking at upwards of 80% of the population being wiped out. There was widespread panic, even though the national leaders were trying to assure the population that everything was under control. That there was nothing to be worried about. But you, and all of the other scientists who were working together to fight this, knew that that was not the case. Alarming amounts of people were out of work from the illness, and with the way things were going, food would stop being produced soon. There would be nothing left. With your calculations, you figured that you only had a few weeks at best, left to figure out a cure, before things were irreversibly damaged. You dashed back and forth in between experiments, writing down theories and the reactions that the virus samples had to the attempted cures you had already made. None of if was working.

You threw your notebook on the ground in frustration, yanking on your hair. You were out of ideas, out of things to try. None of the other scientists had anything new to offer either. You quickly scrambled to pick up the loose pages that had fallen out of your notebook. You scolded yourself for being rash and irresponsible in throwing your notebook. But with all of the loose papers lined up, on the floor, you were able to see a pattern in the way that the virus would react to different cures you tried. Suddenly, a light switched on in your head, and you knew what you had to do. You knew that you couldn't do this alone, you needed help.

You ran over to your phone and punched in the number for the government's lead scientist head quarters.

"This is Dr. y/n, I need to be signed up for a sponsor. I need one immediately. We are running out of time. I have an idea, and I cannot do this by myself."

"Copy that, we have one last sponsor on our list." The voice answered after a short pause.

"Assign that person to me. I also need a plane ticket for me and this person to get to the Amazon rain forest. I need to find supplies for this cure." You explained hurriedly.

"We've got you covered. I just redirected a helicopter to pick you up in 45 minutes to bring you to your sponsor. He will be notified of your arrival. Be ready for your flight." The voice explained through your phone.

"Perfect, thank you." You smiled to yourself, hurriedly collecting your papers, medications and supplies you would need for this trip.
