As the large doors swung open, the immense size of the building was finally realised. As I looked back the fog had once again thickened, causing us to not be able to see out of the doors. 'Ok, creepy feelings aside, where to first?' I asked. As I looked around I saw that there was so much detail, the wallpaper was dark green and had a faint floral pattern throughout the hall, the centre of the building was circular with a fountain in the middle. And had three long halls, one going left, right and one going forward.

We walked forward and up to the fountain, as I step on one of the floor boards and I hear a click, soon after the doors slammed shut, the bang echoing through the building. 'Well, the door shut, guess we're in a horror film' I said and I laughed nervously. 'Where should we go first?' Asked Jack, I pointed to a shadow down the left wing, it had faint purple eyes, eventually as we stared at it more the eyes turned white, and it scurried along the ceiling before disappearing.

When I turned around to look at my group, Jack and Tim were frozen still, while even was hugging me tightly, I could feel her heartbeat, it was so fast.. And her breathing... I could see it on the air, as if the area had just lost drastic amounts of heat. Eve, she was shivering. Her face buried into my chest. I stroked her hair, calming her and telling her it was ok, that it was just our minds playing tricks on us.

Eventually I got Eve to calm down, and Jack and Tim manage to start moving. My curiosity set me off and I started walking down the left wing, where we saw the shadow. As I walked down the hall, the others followed and I opened one of the doors into one of the rooms. The halls were full of rooms, each had a white wireframe bed with lime green faded sheets, and a small rock hard pillow. 'Wow...' Whispered Jack as we looked around the room, the window was huge. As I turned around to look in the other rooms, I heard a child's laugher coming from outside the room.

'Ok. Door slams, creepy shadow in the hall, Childs laughter... Guys I think we're in The Shining.' I said twisting in my heals, everyone gave a nervous laugh. I took a step forward, noticing a weird powder on the floor. I knelt down to see what it was and picks up and handful. It was smooth, but kinda rough at the same time. Feeling the powder I discovered it to be ash. But some more fell from the ceiling, so I looked up to discover the ceiling above the room to be collapsing. 'Guys out the room now the ceiling is falling!' I shouted as the ceiling gave way. Jack and Tim were able to make it but o noticed that Eve wouldn't. As the ceiling above properly caved it, I pushed Eve out the way and let the ceiling fall on me. Luckily I was able to catch the price of ceiling with my hands and back, knelt on one knee. Jack and Tim helped get the piece of ceiling off of me.

As we walked into the hall the shadow with the purple eyes was closer than before, it crawled inhumanly out of the room next to the one that collapsed. It crawled up the wall and I noticed it seemed to have hair, black hair that hung to the floor, and as it stared at us and we stared at it, it's eyes shifted from purple to red, and the black shadow turned into a girl... The girl looked to be around eight, maybe nine.

As the shadow was transformed into this little girl, she fell from the wall and layer on the floor. I rushed over and played her up against the wall. I looked over her, her black, shiny hair fell down to her lap, covering one of her closed eyes. Her skin fair and smooth. She wore a white frilled dress. I kept looking at her, after a good few seconds her piercing Crimson eyes opened and stared into my soul before her sweet voice said 'daddy, Why won't you play with me?' Before screeching an ear piercing screech and disappearing into thin air.
