we were all hanging out today, even you. you said you were sorry for not hanging out with the seven of us, and we all accepted your apology. i guess i stayed quiet the whole time. i guess no one noticed. no one ever does. "you okay?" you asked me, and everyone got quiet. the thing about you, is that you can see what i really mean. when i looked into everyone else's eyes, i saw nothing but happiness. if you looked into my eyes you saw nothing but sadness and loneliness. and you saw pain. in your eyes i saw none of that. maybe if you tried hard enough you could see it in my eyes, but did you? maybe you could see, you just didn't care. "i'm fine." i responded while looking down. everyone went quiet. "i-i...need to go." i said rushing out of that place. no one followed me.
