Gumi POV

It was one of those nights. One of those nights in which sleep wasn't an option. I laid for about an hour with sweat dripping down my forehead drenching the covers in warm liquid. I'd turn to one side then let my eyelids droop out of exhaustion only to immediately wake up a minute after because of another increase in body heat. The cycle went on for a few hours before it turned around 4:30am where I couldn't deal with the struggle of sleep any longer. It was obvious, there was no way I'd fall asleep tonight. So I decided to get out of bed, still dreary and tired, and take myself down the stairs and pour out some water then stand in the freezer for a minute.

I was down to only my bra and pants, that were both also completely soaked along with the bed sheets. So I was most definitely not planning on going back to my bed. I stepped out from the freezer, not feeling any colder really, and walked over to the main part of the air con in the house. Only to realise that was that the fucking thing wasn't working, this explained why the house was so hot. I took an extremely long sigh and walked back upstairs to grab my phone. I turned it on and went into Miku's contact and called her, hoping I didn't completely startle her awake.

"Jesus Christ you completely startled me out of my sleep what do you want at 4 in the morning?!" I sighed again directly into the phone and replied.

"The AC is broken over her and I'm dying slowly of heat stroke is there anyway I could come stay at yours?" I heard her sneeze over the phone which made me reply with a small bless you until she gave me an answer.

"Yeah of course you can. I don't see any problem just find your way here and you can stay if it will get you some sleep" she kindly answered. I felt my mouth tug into a smile as I relied With a small thank you.

I decided not to wake up my dad and just leave with nothing but a small crop top covering my under garments. The second I walked out side it was almost even hotter out in the pitch black night. I'm gonna fucking die. It didn't take me long to get in the car and turn on the A.C then just sit with the cold air blowing on my face.

If I hadn't called miku up i'd probably just have gone to sleep here.

The journey to get there wasn't too much effort beside from the fact I could fall asleep at any moment.

Once I arrived at miku's door it was already unlocked. I'm hoping that's just because she opened it already to save the hassle of waiting for me... that or she's just an idiot.

It didn't take me long to find her room where she lay dead asleep. Obviously right? It was 4 in the morning she would have just fallen back asleep anyone would have. Her apartment was already 100 times cooler than mine, almost to the point I wanted to get under the covers and snuggle up next to her. The body heat that was drifting off her was so... inviting.

So I slipped under the covers and slid my arms around her torso pulling her closer and allowing me to bury my head in her soft teal hair. I finally managed to let sleep take over me.

Five hours later...

We were both abruptly awoken by the sound of a phone vibrating loudly along with a dubstep remix playing on full volume. It was miku's phone. She flew up from the position and in the process I hit my nose with the back if her head. The quick movement also made me lose balance on the bed letting me fall off still holding onto miku and bringing her down with me. Then we both laid in defeat on the ground until miku got up the strength to grab the phone and put it on speaker.

"Hey miku it's Rin we haven't talked for a a bit. How are you?" Is what I heard the phone picking up. Wait rin?thats the girl i met at the bar a while back isnt it? Her voice sounded really smooth over the phone...
Miku replied with a normal response of,

"I'm doing fine, Its not as if you startled both me and Gumi awake with your call that we both flew off the bed." She then mumbled "I should really leave my phone on silent at night... BUT! anyway how are you?" Was her finishing stament.

"Took a while to get to that one huh? I'm doing great actually I got a girlfriend!" Miku seemed to light up at this but I all I could do was just looked at the ground for some reason. Why do I feel so dissapointed?

"Oh yeah? Who's the lucky girl?' Miku's eye brows raised as she tapped her finger on the desk she was resting on.

"Her name is Luka. Megurine Luka!" I was already crushed from just founding out she had a girlfriend but from what I could see that statement made miku's interested face falter and twist into something of shock and or extreme Anger. Why? I wasn't too sure.

"Oh really? Well isn't that great that we both found someone after my brilliant idea of taking you to my bar?" She sounded overly smug to the point where you could tell she was jealous? No more like furious. Hopefully.

"Y-yeah your the best miku! I actually was wondering if you wanted to meet her?"I think miku was grinding her teeth at this point. You could almost hear it perfectly.

"I'd love to! Why don't i bring Gumi aswell so you can meet her?" Rin seemed to have stopped talking for a period too long after miku's suggestion. For some reason.

"O-of course" was rins subtle reply. As if ice had just been poured down her back.

"Actually why don't we all have a double date?!" Mikus face didn't show the same amount of enthusiamsun that her voice did. "We where planning that for a bit before we started going out with people so why Not?" Miku then subcontiously faked a smile as if Rin was in front of her.

"Yeah sounds good I'll just get Luka to take me there at about 12ish then let's all go out..."rin sounded 100 times less enthusiastic than miku's forced happiness.

"Right see you then." She hung up and took a deep breath before turning to me.

"Okay gumi you heard her. We're going out boi so get your ass ready, we need to show off how much better of a couple we are so... let's go get changed!" Now I was getting scared of her sudden emotion changes but never the less I was going to comply with her request.

"I have no clothes here"They was my brilliant answer to that.

"Then go get some jeez" she sighed and pulled me up from the floor.

Rins POV

I sighed as I let the phone call finish and place the device on the table next to me.

"this means I get to see gumi at least? But she's in love with miku... not me. Huh what? Why do I want her to like me? It's not as if... Oh god im going crazy" just as my frantic thoughts were falling around out loud Luka walked into the room.

"Jeez Rin what mumbling about in here?" She came over to me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"I uh actully would you like to come on a double date with me and my friends?" Her smile brightened and she held me closer.

"Of course I would! I'd love to show other people our love!" She muzzled her face into my hair. It felt nice but all I could think about was what I'd say to gumi. I feel bad for Luka. I mean I'm being pretty dishonest with her but...

"Yeah I love you luka" she just held me tighter... that's where I knew I fucked up.

Whoa look who's not dead. I'm actully on holiday and woke up super early so what do u do when u can't sleep? Write fanfics duh
