chapter 1

"Archie"

"Archie" she shakes my arm violently

"What" is all I can force out right now it's too damn late and I need to get some sleep. “Come on let's go I already told you that his party is tonight and I really want you to go with me... COME ON" she whines.

I take a few seconds to think about it, and my science assessment is tomorrow , I mean I already studied the test like five times so I don't see why I shouldn't go. "Fine just get off of me and give me a few minutes okay Mia" who’s party are we even going to?

“Who’s party?"

"How could you forget? We’re going to Louise party remember?"

He’s like the most known frat brother to take advantage of girls... it’s disgusting

I think what’s more disgusting is that they let him

And what I can’t believe is that I'm actually thinking about going

"Okay so what time do we have to be there and where is it?”... "Wait why am I even going I don't know him like you do and I don't even talk to him!"

By the time I get out of bed and look halfway decent with my grey crew-neck, black skinny jeans and my ivory beanie. She finally answers me with

"It’s okay he will like you, I mean after all your pretty fine"

... Ok?

Next thing I know were in front of Louise fraternity house just a few blocks away from UT collage.

"uhh hey Mia can you just get out and I can just drive back to our dorm?" I whine "please Mia I just don't think I can do this, this will be the first big party I've been to, well only party but I don't even know anyone here except you and I just don't feel comfortable"

she gives me that 'are you serious' look "Archie are you serious?" yep just what I thought "you are so like pretty, no your gorgeous, ok and I didn't wake you up just so you can get ready and go back to sleep, so yes you are coming with me, end of discussion"

Before I could protest, she had jumped out of the car and was already at my side pulling the door open with a huge smile painted on her face.

"How many frat brothers are there exactly?"  I know that one of the brothers of the frat is a circle fighter, I've seen him through punches before and he’s ruthless, not necessarily vicious but no one has ever won against him. i went to one of his fights about a month ago with Mia and her boyfriend Zayn. I don't really know his name but he’s Zany’s cousin and he bags every girl that comes within sight of him, and I don't want any part of that.

"umm there's five that are like really close but other than that I only know of brad"  she screams over the noise. We start walking over to the huge house and as soon as we walked in Mia leaves me to go find her boyfriend.

Here I am stuck at the door way. I know if I walk in there I will get claustrophobic and hyperventilate. I just don't like crowds and drunks its extremely uncomfortable.

as i start making my way to the kitchen, a blond stumbles in front of me trying to hold herself up by grabbing both of my shoulders, I didn’t know what to do so i just stand there and help her gain her balance back while she slurs some words that I couldn't translate. I think she spit up a little on my shoe. Fantastic.

When I finally push passed enough people to make my way to the kitchen i see Mia. Thank the lords otherwise i would have been walking back to campus. Well i should be anyways but then i would get yelled at for not "waiting up for her" as usual

"Hey Archie how've you been kid?" Zayn says enveloping me in his arms then spinning me around back by the island. I'm surprised he had enough room to do that especially with Mia on his back.

"ARCHIE!"  Mia screeched as she jumped off of Zayn’s back to mine. she’s so thin and light weight so i  don't mind when she jumps on me. its quite funny actually.

Mia gets off my back reaches towards the counter and hands me a shot glass of amber liquid. "Drink up before there all gone" she says while tilting her head back then reaching for another.

i feel the whisky slide down my throat leaving little prickles behind as it makes its way to my stomach. i cringe at the way it taste but it wasn't as bad as i thought. Slamming the shot glass back on to the table was allot louder then i suspected. i reach for a red solo cup filled with water to quench the burning sensation it left behind. As i tilt the lip of the cup back it soothes some of the burning but the water was good i guess you could say.

Mia's on her 5th shot by now so i decide to put my hand in front of her mouth blocking the glass. i feel the whisky drip from my fingers to the floor as Mia realizes that i had blocked her from the alcohol. she tried to give me a death stare but it didn't work. She set the glass on the counter and hopped on Zayns back and he peppered the back of hands with soft kisses.

i turn around to finish the rest of my water, as my foot got caught on someone’s shoe my body goes flying to the tiles as someone catches me. i look up to find Zayns cousin holding me just inches above the floor.

"Whoa easy there Bambi" he says by my ear still holding my lower back

"uhh hey thanks" i say while getting back on my feet. Holding his shoulders for support

"no problem, what happened?" he said trying to search my eyes

"i tripped!" i said disgusted that he was the only person around to catch me. i would have rather fell. i turn to go catch up with Mia and Zayn but they're nowhere in sight. i really don't want to have a conversation with him.

"Okay okay” he lifts his hands in surrender "sorry"

i check my phone while pushing my way through the crowd to the nearest bathroom to get my head straight. i call Mia no answer to see where she’s at ... no answer...she sends me a text instead

*hey I'm outside with Zayn and a few of his friends can’t talk right now* 

great

*i don't want to be here and i ran into Zayns cousin, can we please go because i don't know anyone and i don't want to run into him again please Mia i don't care if you want to bring Zayn into our dorm but please I'm begging you. I'M IN THE FUCKING BATHROOM FOR CHRIST SAKE!!*

*Ok fine just a few more minutes and we can go, as long as i can bring Zayn with me*

*fine i don't care just please hurry up*

About ten minutes pass before she calls me to tell me it’s time to go. When I reach the front door i get pulled back into the crowed. My head snaps to see who had my wrist; it was my best friend Nathan.

"wanna dance?" he shouts letting go of my wrist

"i was just leaving" i pout, if i knew he was here i would have been with him the whole night

"Goddamn it Archie" a frown now replacing his smile

"i know I'm sorry i just have to get some sleep, I’ll see you tomorrow in history!" I shout while heading back to the door.

i finally reach Mia's blue Honda when i notice her and Zayn leaning against the car making out. “Okay you two animals get in the car!" i say glaring at them jokingly.

The ride back to the dorms was full of lips smacking and bodies rocking in the back seat. i turn off the car and toss the keys on to the back seat where they were. Slamming the door i take off my shoes and head to the dorm by myself.
