The outfit she wore to the beach^^
This is not by any means Makenna, just the outfit, not the girl 🙊

The ride to the beach took what little nerves I had away and replaced them with excitement.

How can my mood not perk up when we're going to the beach?!

Even If the water might be a bit cold and the wind a bit chilly, it's still a really warm day for October and I miss the beach so much I couldn't pass the opportunity.

It reminds me of home, back in Africa.

Since I grew up on a semi island, three out four sides were surrounded by the sea. The beach was practically a five-minute walk from my house. Guess you could say I used to spend my whole summer there if not more considering how it's always warm there. I was always cooped up at the beach with a book in hand, it somehow became my spot, my comfort place.

So having to do that one more time today would be relaxing. Especially since next week is going to be filled with preparations for the CLUBS & SOCIETIES day, known as our welcoming day.

Let's not forget the Halloween's party preparations as well.

One of the few songs that Lena actually knows the lyrics to comes up and drags me back to the now. She starts her horribly hilarious singing -So off tune btw, making us join in once we composed ourselves from laughing so hard.

Another song follows but none of us know the foreign words that are being said. Lena, of course, doesn't give a crap that it's in Spanish or was it Portuguese, she just starts singing and again we join in as well.

"DESPACITOOO!" We all simultaneously shout that one word we know from the chorus and then start blabbering rapidly a few nonsenses trying to keep up with the flow.

This goes on until my throat aches from all the screaming we did and we finally have a view of our beach.

We park the car in our usual spot and climb out.

I turn to my left and see a small house with a decent pool that belongs to it. An old man with grayish hair cleaning the pool looks up hearing the sound of a car and I immediately wave at him making my way there.

"Hey, Papí!" Nina says from somewhere behind me.

Papí Sebastian is a man in his old sixties but you would never guess it from his athletic figure. He had bought this house with his wife back when they first moved here from Spain. After his wife had passed away and them never having any kids, Papí turned his house into a little homey restaurant that serves the BEST Spanish dishes you can ever taste.

Not many people know about this place, hence why it's usually pretty empty, not that Papí minded, he just did it to keep himself occupied.

Lucky for us, however, Elliot knew about this place since his grandfather had been friends with Papí. They used to come here on weekends and fish together.

Going down to the beach, the girls are out of their clothes and in the water before I even get to blink. Checking my phone, I see it's still 11:30 am, I'll just wait for about another hour till it gets warmer before I go anywhere near that freezing ocean.

I take off my red hoodie and stay in my long sleeves, black and white striped crop top that I wore underneath and my black skinny jeans that I wore on top of my high waisted black retro bikini bottoms.

I settle down under a tree and take out the book I started reading yesterday.

I was so engrossed in my book that I didn't even notice a figure coming my way until I felt the sun disappear from view.
