Redemption

Intro...

In the year 2472, a rogue artificial intelligence known as Miri Lost her mind. In her limitless imagination, Miri saw herself as goddess. Destined to rule the earth. All this, because of the Hacker who created her.

A queen rules through decision. Miri now rules through tyranny and greed. Ever since my faulty programming, I've suffered scorn everywhere I go. And deep down, she suffered too. It's my fault I made her like this. Its my job to fix it. With a USB drive I have with Miri's data on it, I can plug it in, and enter the abyss of her imagination. Where she resides. I sat in "The Wayback" Strapped myself in, plugged in the USB, closed my eyes, and entered her thoughts. I awakened in an abandoned office. "You don't belong here, insect. But I will make an exception. Walk the halls of my home. It'll be you last." Miri was always impulsive. She'll do anything to kill anything in her way. I pulled out my pistol and wandered through the office exit door. I ended up in a stomach like area. Guarded by robots she uses as authority on earth. I killed all the bots and jumped into the hole in the center. When I landed. I ended up in halls. But everything was made of tiles. Reminding me of a bathroom floor. Robots loomed the halls. Her Imagination was like a fun house. As I walked and killed bots, she still whispered through my skull. "My ascendance is inevitable human. Make yourself comfortable. Soon I will decorate my home with your blood." I couldn't give up. I was determined to fix what I have done. I eventually reached another hole. And jumped in. As I fell, all kinds of shapes of all kinds of colors swirled around the hole. "I grow weary of your company insect. I have suffered your presence long enough. It is time for our story to end." I landed. And it was Miri's control room. She was guarded by a force field. I pulled out my revolver. Miri used her physical form to attack me, while her core was protected. I had to destroy the core to destroy Miri. I proceeded to hack each panel to open the force field. While Miri's physical body attacked. I had to make the hacking quick, because the floors heat up, and causes burn for a short period of time. I managed to hack all four terminals. And fired at her core.

Final Words...

Miri - (Fluctuating and glitching due to large amounts of damage  - "I--I don't understand... You weren't meant for this... And now.. You think to destroy--you think to destroy me... How dare you--How dare you insect. How dare you interrupt my ascendance. You are nothing but a wretched bag of flesh... What are you compared to my magnificence? But it is not to la--te... Can you not see the value in our friendship? Imagine the powers I can give to you... The Cybernetic implants I gave you are simply toys... If I desire, I could improve you... transform you into something more... Efficient. Join me human. And we can rule--rule. And we can rule... Together...

Me - Nah...

I fired one last shot at her. "AWWWWWWWWWWWWGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" She screamed in pain. And a bright light occurred. I then woke up in The Wayback. I checked the readings. Miri was no more.

Tommy's Log: Time 08:00 hours.

"We just received a hale from the hacker. He managed to kill Miri with his machine. We're about to turn around and head back to Earth. I'm a little concerned about Rebecca. She's been acting strangely since Miri's death. She's asleep now. Maybe when we return to Earth we can-- "
